"Alright, Rose is taking care of the flowers, we already have a venue, I have a dress, and all that's left is food," Skye sighed as she plopped down on the couch in the lounge next to Simmons.

"Do you want me to handle that, Skye?" her friends questioned as she set her tablet down.

"Jemma, that would be amazing," she sighed in relief, "I have just about had it with wedding planning."

Simmons nodded sympathetically. "How many people are you planning on coming?"

Skye did the calculations. "Everyone on our team, including Rose, John, and the baby, the Avengers, Fury, Maria Hill, your parents and the rest of your family, and a few friends I had from my orphanage days. Overall, probably about 50 people. Ward and I both agreed that we wanted a pretty small wedding. It's not like we both have a ton of family members to invite," she explained.

Simmons smiled as she turned her tablet back on and began to research caterers. "How about a cake?"

Skye's eyes widened and she swore.

Simmons laughed. "No cake yet, either?"

Skye ran her hands across her face. "I am so unprepared for this."

Simmons smiled. "I'll call a bakery that's close by the venue and I'll see what they can do."

"You are a life saver," Skye breathed as she closed her eyes, "I don't know what I'd do without you."

"Probably spontaneously combust," Jemma joked as she picked her tablet back up.

Skye laughed. "I'd hate to agree to that, but yes. Yes, I would."

"What do you think?" Skye asked later that day as she and Jemma stood inside Skye's bunk.

"Oh, Skye," Jemma exclaimed as Skye spun in a circle, "you look lovely."

"Yeah?" Skye questioned as she looked down at her dress.

It was a simple white dress that went about to her knees and fit tightly around her chest, but was loose and flowing in the lower half.

"Simple, yet elegant," Jemma nodded, "it's wonderful. Actually, I have something for you. I was going to wait until the wedding to give it to you, but I figure now is a good time. Give me a second," Jemma announced as she ran from Skye's bunk and toward her own, to grab the gift for Skye.

She appeared a moment later with a box in her hand. "This is for you. I wanted to get you something special since, technically, you'll be my sister-in-law."

Skye accepted the box that Jemma had offered her and carefully tore the wrapping paper off it. She opened the velvet case and gasped when she saw the necklace inside. "Jemma," she said in amazement as she lifted the necklace from its place, "its beautiful."

"You'd been telling me how much you used to want one," Jemma laughed as she helped her friend put it on.

Skye fingered the metal charm spelling "Skye" with a small blue gem in the top of the 'S'. "I love it," she turned around to hug her friend.

"Well, I'm glad you do," Jemma smiled, "now you can wear it on your wedding day."

Skye grinned. "Well, when you put it like that, now I can't wait for that day to come," she joked. "I also wanted to ask you, would you be my maid of honor? I was going to ask Rose as well, but she has her hands full with Donna, I figure it might just be better for Rose to be with the baby," Skye smiled.

Jemma nodded and smiled warmly. "It would be my honor."
