I want to start by apologizing for the delay in updates! I'm so sorry! I got extremely sidetracked with the holidays, school, and series 4 of Sherlock. Anyway, Sherlock is over now *cries* so that will leave more time for updating. Without further ado...

2 weeks later

"I'm glad we finally have a mission, it's been a while," remarked Skye as she walked into the briefing room. "I love down time, but there's only so much Netflix a girl can watch."

Coulson smiled as Skye joined the rest of the team in the briefing room and Fitz piped up, "when do we start?"

"Well, we need a two man team to infiltrate MAL Corp. They're a terrorist group posing as a science research division, but they're hell-bent on taking over control of this country's weapons supply," Coulson explained as he pulled up pictures on the holo-table in front of them.

"Oh fun," said Skye sarcastically, crossing her arms against her chest and leaning on the wall behind her.

"We need a two man team to break into their HQ, which is actually just a warehouse, and take down everyone inside, wipe the computers, and then blow up the base," Coulson explained, showing the blueprints.

"Ok, so who's going in?" asked Skye.

"I am," said Coulson, "and I want Ward with me. May is back up and FitzSimmons are comms, but you're going to be helping FitzSimmons, and if something goes wrong, you're helping May."

"Ok, I can do that."

"Good. We're leaving in 15 minutes, go and help FitzSimmons with the comms."

"Sir yes sir," Skye mock-saluted as she left the room.

--- 15 minutes later ---

"Ward," said Coulson from the top of the spiral staircase, "ready to go?"

"Yeah, give me a second," said Ward as FitzSimmons were putting his comm in his ear and Skye was setting up the flash drive for him to plug into their computers.

"All set," said Skye as she handed him the flash drive, "you're free to go."

"Don't die out there ok?" said Jemma.

"Wouldn't dream of it," he said with a reassuring smile.

Coulson and Ward entered the warehouse without a problem, the premises were suspiciously silent apart from only two guards.

"This is weird," said Ward, shaking his head, "there should be more guards then just those two."

"Yeah, somethings off," Coulson nodded, agreeing with the younger man.

They heard chattering through their comms. "FitzSimmons," said Ward, "what just happened to our comms?"

There was no reply.

"Guys?" asked Coulson, "you there?"

Once again there was no reply.

"Great," said Ward as he sighed, "guess we're on our own." He pointed in front of him, "head down that corridor, the computers should be back there."

Coulson nodded and they stuck close the walls, moving slowly, so as not to be seen.

"There still aren't any guards," Ward noticed, an uneasy feeling settling upon him.

"Why?" Coulson whispered

"I don't know," Ward responded warily, "just keep going."

They got to the door and Coulson picked the lock so they could get in. They were met with not only the computer, but with 10 armed men.
