"Alright," Skye announced to Rose as she and her friend stood inside Rose's house with the 4 month old baby. "Ward and I have set an official date for the wedding. September 24th. Save the date," Skye smirked.

"Good, I was starting to get worried, seeing as how it's already August," Rose chuckled. "Where's the rest of the team?"

"They're refueling the Bus and stopping at one of S.H.I.E.L.D.'S bases. I told them to drop me off here, seeing as I don't have much to do there." Skye informed her friend as she bounced Donna in her lap.

"Well, its appreciated," Rose told her, "its nice to have someone around to talk to besides a 4 month old. How far along in wedding planning are you?"

Skye shrugged. "I have a dress already, it's technically not really a wedding dress, but it's white and I love it," she smiled.

"Then that's all that matters," Rose smiled.

"Other than that, I'm not really sure. I know I have to get the cake, the flowers, and the food. And someone to walk me down the isle." She turned to Rose. "Do you think Coulson would do it?"

Rose laughed. "Skye, he already practically thinks of you as his daughter. I think he'd love to walk you down the aisle. Have you chosen a venue?"

"Yes, actually," Skye brightened. She pulled out her phone and opened up the camera roll. "It's outdoors, so I'm hoping we get good weather, but there's a nice little gazebo overlooking a lake, so it should be nice."

Rose looked through the photos with interest. "Oh, its beautiful! What does Grant think?"

Skye chuckled. "He says he's happy as long as I'm happy. So by default, he loves the venue too."

Rose laughed and handed the phone back to Skye as she took her baby and started to feed her.

"I'm so happy for you guys," Rose grinned. "Seems like only yesterday that you and he were both completely oblivious about your feelings for one another."

Skye knocked on Coulson's door later that night when she returned to the Bus. "It's Skye, can I come in?"

The door opened and Skye walked in, sitting in the chair across from Coulson. Coulson looked up and smiled at her. "How was your visit?"

"Really nice," she smiled. "That's actually what I came to talk to you about."

"How can I help?" he raised an eyebrow.

"Well, Rose and I were talking about the wedding earlier, and the subject of planning came up. I know, usually, that the father is supposed to walk the bride down the isle, but that won't exactly be possible in this case. You're the closest thing I have to a father figure, so I was wondering if maybe you wanted to walk me down the aisle?" Skye asked nervously as she wrung her hands together in her lap.

Coulson gave her a warm, soft smile. "Skye, it would be my honor."

"Oh, thank goodness," Skye breathe a sigh of relief. "Thank you."

"You're welcome," he nodded kindly.
