Sorry I haven't updated in a long time! I was focused on updating my story "Something Worth Saving." But now that's finished, so I can continue on this one again!

"Ready to get this show on the road?" asked Skye as she and Ward climbed into their rental car for the mission.

"Born ready," he smiled back.

Skye rolled down her window and shouted to the other team members still in the bus, "Grant and I are gonna start heading down there now since we're ready, we'll meet you guys there!"

She rolled up her window, turned on some music, took her coat off, and put her seatbelt on, motioning for Grant to start driving.

He smiled at his girlfriend's antics and started the drive.

They arrived at the lodge 4 hours later, having to only stop once for lunch. Skye walked up to the desk, "Hi, reservation for a Skye Coulson."

The man smiled, "ah yes, Miss Coulson, room 112, here's your key."

She smiled at the man and took the key, "thanks," she walked back over to Grant and took her luggage from him and entwined her free hand with his. They walked to room 112 and unloaded their suitcases into the dressers by each of their beds.

"Wanna explore?" asked Skye as she jumped onto his bed.

"I would like that very much," he said taking her hand, "how about we go find a cafe and get some coffee?"

She smiled and started speaking in a British accent, "why Mr. Ward, are you finally asking me out on a formal date?"

He laughed and kissed her hand while bowing, "I believe I am, Miss Coulson."

She laughed and tugged on his arm, pulling him towards the door, "let's go then!"

He grabbed his car keys on the way out and they walked out of the room, hand in hand. After about a three minute drive, they found the perfect little cafe.

"I'll have a tall mocha, with caramel, whipped cream, and cinnamon please. What do you want?" she turned back to look at him.

"Just black coffee."

The barista smiled at him, "anything else?"

"That'll be all."

"$4.50."

He handed her the money and he and Skye sat down to drink their coffees.

"How can you drink that?" Skye watched him as he sipped from his cup.

"Maybe because I'm not used to dumping an entire bag of sugar and caramel in it," he dead panned, "do you really need that much stuff in your coffee?"

She smirked, "do you even know me?"

He smiled, "I remembered your coffee order in Italy didn't I?"

"That's true," she rolled her eyes playfully. "Ok, fine, I guess you know me."

They finished up their coffees and got back in their car. She kissed his cheek, "thanks for the coffee."

____________

The rest of the team arrived half an hour after they got their coffees.

"Looks like you guys finally made it," said Skye as she helped bring luggage into the team's rooms.

"We had a bit of a late start," said Coulson, "but we're here now."

"How was the drive?"

"Few of the roads were a bit icy, but overall it was pretty good."

"Good."

____________

Skye was sitting on her bed, braiding her hair before going to sleep, "Ward?"

"Yeah?" he answered from the bed next to hers.

"What are we supposed to be looking for on this trip?"

"Suspicious activity, that's pretty much it. We don't really have to do much. If we don't see anything then we just end up getting a paid vacation."

She laughed, "best undercover mission yet," she fist pumped. "I have another question,"

"Which is..."

"Can we go skiing tomorrow?"

"We'd have to talk to Coulson, but probably."

"Sweet! Let's just hope that I don't face plant."

"Well now you just jinxed it," he playfully rolled his eyes as he leaned over to turn off the light.
