Lexi.

"So what's your question?" I asked once I closed the backyard door behind me.

"Are you dating Mr. Mendes?" Liam asked abruptly.

Well shit.

"You're gonna know if I'm lying either way aren't you?" I questioned and he nodded.

"You have to promise me that you won't tell anyone," I said, and again, he just nodded.

"So you are?" He asked and I nodded.

"Please don't be mad," I said and gave him the puppy dog eyes.

"Lex, I'm not mad. I'm happy for you, and I can see how much he cares about you," he said with a smile and my face started to turn red.

"So you're not going to be all protective over me right?" I said and he just laughed.

"Now that would be losing my mind. I'm still looking after you Lex. I always have and I always will, but I don't think I need to be hovering over you all the time. I trust him."

"Oh you do?" I asked and he nodded.

"And besides, I kind of already knew that he had a thing for you ever since he first became our teacher. He would never look at any other student except you, and when he did, it wasn't the same sort of spark he would have when he'd look at you."

I blushed again at the thought of Shawn looking at me during class.

Had other people noticed this too?

"So another question," Liam said while breaking me from my thoughts.

"Yes?" I said and he rubbed his hand against the back of his neck.

"Have you two had sex?" He asked and I bursted out into a fit of laughter.

"Wow you creep," I said shaking my head and walked back outside.

"Hey it was just a question," Liam said once we were both outside.

"Hey kids what's with the laughing?" My dad chuckled and we both looked at each other.

"Nothing it's fine," I said and sat back down in my seat.

"Oh come on! We don't keep secrets," my dad said and I looked at Liam again.

"Alright. I just asked Alexis about the boy she likes," Liam lied and I put my head down knowing how this was going to end.

"Boy huh?" I heard Shawn say and I looked up.

"Liam why are you lying. There's no boy whatsoever," I muttered and everyone started laughing.

"Yeah right Alexis. Now who is it?" My mom said and I shook my head.

"Really mom there's nobody. I don't like anyone," I said and my eyes flickered towards Shawn who was trying to hold in his laugh.

"Alright. Whatever you say sweetie," my mom said and I smiled.

"Yeah that's right, listen to the birthday girl," I giggled and Shawn finally let out his laugh.

"Okay well I'm going to use the bathroom for a minute, so continue with this nonsense," I said and got up from my seat again, and back into the house.

I went up to my room and knew that Shawn would soon excuse himself to see me. I closed the door to my room and just sat in my bed waiting for him.

A few moments later, low and behold, he walked in with a smirk stretched across his face.

"Hey beautiful," he mumbled and walked over to me as I rose from the bed.

"Hey sexy," I whistled and he shook his head.

"Right, well have you opened your present yet?" He asked while wrapping his arms around my waist.

"No, why? Do you want me to?" I questioned and he shook his head.

"No, just wear it tonight. My house, tonight, at ten," he whispered while bringing his lips close to mine.

"You got it daddy," I said with a smirk and he just chuckled.

"You're so weird," he mumbled while pressing his lips against mine.

"But you love it," I mumbled against his lips, and a few moments later, my back hit my bed.

"Indeed I do," he said and brought his lips to my neck.

Damn I'm going to enjoy this birthday.

Mark.

I walked up the stairs towards Alexis' room. I needed to tell her how I feel. That night where I hurt her, I wasn't myself. I was drunk and I would never do that to her.

I thought too much of nothing. I know she has the same feelings for me. No matter how much she denies it, she does.

As I made my way to the door of her room, I started to hear laughing and two voices talking. I knew for a fact one of them was Alexis, but the other I had no idea.

I cracked the door opened, slightly and my eyes widened uncontrollably.

"Shawn stop," I heard Alexis say with that cute little giggle I would hear nearly everyday from her.

I closed the door once I saw a guy get up from on top of her.

Mr. Mendes.

I backed away and I felt this mischievous feeling take over me. I rushed back downstairs, and just my luck, I ran into Alexis' mom.

"Oh Mark what's going on?" Her mom, Sarah, said.

"Actually I wanted to talk to you if that's okay," I mumbled and she nodded.

"Of course, we can go into the dining area and we can talk there," she said and I nodded.

Once we were in the dining area, we sat down and I debated on what to say.

"So what do you want to talk about?" She asked and I smiled to myself.

"It's nothing really I just want to talk to you about something that has to do with Alexis."

This is gonna be fun.
