Lexi.

"Alexis, everyone is already almost here. Are you almost ready?"

I finished putting the last touches on my makeup and grabbed my phone from my bed.

"Yeah mom I'm ready!" I called out and headed down the stairs to help my mom get things situated for the party.

"Aw darling you look beautiful," my mom said once I got into the kitchen.

"Thanks mom," I said while fixing the hem of my dress.

"Well there's the birthday girl," I heard my dad say as he walked in holding a whole box of beers.

"In the flesh," I giggled and then our attention got cut short when we heard the doorbell ring.

"That's Shawn, can you please get that Alexis so I can help your mother fix up everything outside?" He asked and I nodded.

"Sure thing," I said and turned on my heels towards the door.

I opened the door to see Shawn standing there in tight black jeans and a white button up shirt. His eyes widened as he saw me which made me blush.

"Happy birthday beautiful, you look incredible," he whispered and gently kissed me on the cheek.

"Thank you, and you look mighty fine yourself if I do say so myself," I said and he shook his head.

"Alright, well I got you a special gift, but you might want to bring it up to your room because if your parents see they'll definitely make you open it," he whispered and I nodded while taking the bag from his hand.

"Babe, you know you didn't have to get me anything, I'm fine with just having you right-" I was cut off by my dad walking into the room.

"Alexis, don't guard the door! Shawn come in," my dad cheered and I moved past him while hiding the bag behind me.

"What do you have there kiddo?" My dad questioned and I shook my head.

"Nothing," I mumbled and ran straight upstairs to my room.

"Teenagers," I heard my dad mumble before I completely closed the door to my room while throwing the bag onto my bed.

I ran back downstairs and heard the door open again.

"Hey birthday girl!" Emma yelled while leaping into my arms.

"Hi to you too Em," I laughed and set her down onto the ground.

"Happy birthday Lex," Chase said while giving me a gentle hug as everyone else started to walk in.

"Happy birthday cutie," Amanda screeched while crushing me in a hug.

"Thanks Amanda," I smiled and pulled away to be welcomed into other hugs with Sydney and Brian.

"Wow baby Lex is getting to fucking old!" I heard Liam's voice say and I smiled.

"Liam!" I practically yelled since I haven't seen him ever since we got out of school which was a little under a month ago.

He gave me a tight hug and he moved his lips closer to my ear, "We still have to finish that talk."

"Later," I muttered and turned back to everyone else while we walked into the kitchen.

"Hey kids," my dad said laughed while taking a sip of his beer.

"Hi Mr. Rivera," they all said in unison.

Just then, I heard the doorbell ring again and I honestly couldn't figured who it was since everyone was already here. Most of my family, my friends, and my incredibly sexy boyfriend.

"I'll get it," I said and walked back to get the door.

I opened it slightly and wished I hadn't.

"Happy birthday Lex," he said with a small guilty smile.

"Mark," I spat out and almost shut the door in his face until he stopped me from doing so.

"Oh Alexis! Happy birthday! My you're getting old," I heard Marks' mom say as she walked up the steps of the porch.

"Thank you Mrs. Sanders," I said and welcomed her in, but as soon as Mark tried to step in I stopped him.

"Pull anything, and I'll rip your throats out and feed it to your dog," I hissed and he nodded.

"I know and I'm really sorry Lex, why can't we just talk. I miss you," he said and I turned around back to the kitchen.

I made eye contact with Liam and mouthed the words, "Help me."

He looked up to see Mark walking in and we all turned our head away from him. From the corner of my eye he just stared at me while standing there with his mom.

~~~
"And she banged her head on the door then fell to the floor!" My dad chuckled and I just glared at him.
"Hey I remember that! She wouldn't talk to me for a week," Liam laughed and I stepped on his foot.
"And I won't if you keep talking about it," I pouted and I heard Shawn laugh.
"Well it was just so funny," my dad said and I shook my head.
"Yeah when I was five!" I said and crossed my arms.
"Alright, well if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get something to eat," Liam said and got up from his seat.
My eyes followed and knew exactly what was coming my way.
"You coming Lex?" He said and I nodded.
"Sure."
The truth is finally coming out.
