Chapter 18:

Eddie went to bed that night, and his mind wandered, remembering the way he left... He was so confused by the days event. Why had Aleks been so upset? It was so... odd.

He turned on his side, and he stared out the window... He missed his mother... He remembered how he left it, and cringed...

~~☆Flashback☆~~

He pulled his bag out from under his bed. His mom hadnt even looked at him, since she found out. It really hurt. He saw her in his doorway.

"Dont leave."

"Give me a reason not to." Eddie said coldly.

"Please Eddie. Just make a better choice! You dont love him-"

"You dont know. You are so blinded by religion, and the indoctrination of the church... I love him, and Im leaving. Thats final."

"I could call the police..." She challenged, her anger showing on her face.

"Go ahead. I dare you!" Eddie wasnt afraid.

"Eddie, You cant leave!"

"I can, and I will. You cant stop me." Eddie pulled his bag onto his shoulders, and shoved past his mother. She let out a shakey sob.

"Please Eddie!" She shouted, trying to pull on his sleeve.

"Mama, Im done here!" He shouted, and opened the door.

He walked outside, and his mother yelled from the doorway, begging him to stop. If she really loved him, she would respect his decision to be gay. He loved Aleks. Nothing, not even death would come between their love.

Eddie sighed... He really regretted shouting at her... Over the week that he prepared to leave, his mother had been rude. She had ignored him, and even been a bit abusive. Granted, not to the extent of Aleks' father, but it was something Eddie was unaccustomed to...

He wasnt able to sleep at all that night. He tossed and turned, thinking of everything... He thought he had heard sirens at one point, and he thought of hiding, but it passed the house, without notice. He knew his mother probably wouldnt call the police... Not unless she was desperate.

The morning came, and Eddie yawned. He was exausted. He sat up in bed, and went to the bathroom. Washing his face, he heard a knock on the door.

"Eddie?" The door opened.

Aleks woke up with a start. He had another nightmare... But he never felt comfortable sharing these nightmares with Eddie... He was lacking sleep, and he was stressed out. He decided now was a good time for a shower.

After a hot shower, he glanced at the alarm clock on his night stand. It was 6:30... Why was he up so early? He got dressed, and layed back down on his bed...

He suddenly felt that wave of sadness again... He didnt understand it, but it kept happening... As if he was missing something... He had no idea what that could be though.

He decided to get up, and he walked out into the hallway. It was dark, other than Eddies room, where Aleks could see the light from under his door. Aleks popped his head inside.

The horror that struck Aleks almost knocked him over. He saw, Eddie was on top of James, on the floor. Eddie looked angry, but that didnt register for Aleks. It just looked as if something was about to happen...

"Eddie!" Aleks shouted.

"Aleks! This isnt what you think!"

"Then what is it?" Aleks growled.

"James came in, and... I tripped-"

"No, stop. I dont want to hear your excuse." Aleks stormed out, hot tears running down his face.

He ran back to his room, and locked the door. He heard Eddie pounding on the door, on the other side. Aleks really didnt want to deal with Eddie right now.

"Go away!" Aleks shouted.

"Aleks its not-"

"I said leave me alone!"

~I know, hate me... but my chapters have been bland lately... Sorry, I know its bad, but I will fix it!!!
