Mr. Adam Khalid was in class going through his student's work when one of his students told him there was a lady waiting for him outside. It was already time to go home so he took his coat and walked out. For some reason he was excited.

Isabelle was talking with a boy who was marveling at her skateboard. He seemed to love hers and was telling her how his dad would not allow him to have one.

"I knew you would come around?" Adam smiled and Isabelle looked at him. He remembered their first encounter and felt a little ashamed.  "I am sorry about that night. I was a mess."

Isabelle looked at him trying to understand why she even came to see him in the first place.

"Mom is feeling better now. She has started therapy." He told her and ran his fingers through his hair.

I have a mom now?! She couldn't believe it.

"Come on," Adam showed her to his car. "We have a lot to talk about."

She looked at him surprised at her speechlessness.

"Come on." He urged her. She followed him and sat on the passenger seat. They drove silently until they reached a small cafe not far from the school.

The waiter came to take their orders but surprising she didn't feel like eating anything.

"That's odd." He scoffed. "You used to eat pretty much anything that couldn't defend itself from you."

Isabelle smiled.

"Alhamdullilah," He said with a crocked grin. "I was afraid you couldn't smile."

"Don't worry I am not as grouchy as you are." She finally spoke surprising herself.

"Oh wow! You can talk too." He added with the same enthusiasm. Isabelle rolled her eyes.

"I am starving." Isabelle said and ordered a large burger and a smoothy. Adam laughed.

"What's funny, Grouchy man?" She asked with a devious smirk on her face.

"Nothing. Greedy ogre." He said.

"Hey." She reached for him and pulled his nose. He laughed so hard and then stared crying. A confused Isabelle reached for his hand and felt suddenly happy. She finally had a family of her own. It did come as a blow but she was glad for it.

"Hey." She called softly. He looked up and she got up from her chair and hugged him. "I am so glad I found you. And I will learn to love you and your mo- our mother."

So brother and sister picked up from where they had left. One with regret in his heart and the other with emptiness in her heart finally disappearing. Adam found her wild. She wasn't a Muslim now but she was born in Islam. It can't be hard to guide a heart like hers.

"Can I call you Najma?" He asked with a smile.

"Only of I can call you Mr. Grouchy."

"You can call me whatever you want , hayaty." After a day of catching up Isabelle made Adam promise not to tell anyone she showed up. He agreed not knowing that a worried Aliyah has sent everyone she knows to look for her. She was afraid her Friend wasn't Strong enough to take that big news.

After two days of looking for Isabelle, Haytham finally got news that she was still in LA. Hanif and Jamal laughed at him when he said she was still in LA.

"I have sources." He argued.

"Yea right. You wanna tell me we haven't been looking for her well." Hanif said.

"Exactly." Haytham said plainly.

"If  she was in LA we would have found her two weeks ago." Hanif said.

"She is in LA. You wanna seat here and argue with me or are you gonna go and find her?" Haytham was suddenly serious.

"How about we go together. And then I get to tell you 'I told you so' when we don't find her where you are implying she is." Hanif smirked deviously. He liked annoying stubborn people though he always ends up apologising.

"Fine." Everyone was surprised at his response.

"Okay, you are both crazy." Jamal said and smiled. He could see something both of them couldn't see. They both had so much in common and that has drove them to be rivals. Both are stubborn and crazy and they kinda felt like the world could do with only one of them.
