Berenice followed her brother outside. He was sitting on the stairs. He seemed distant. She couldn't think of something that could make him happy. She didn't quite understand Aliyah's relationship with her brother but she could tell he was deeply hurt by what was happening.
"Hey Bruh!" She sat next to him and messed up his hair.
"Not now Bernie." He said through clenched jaws.
"I was just fixing your hair." She said still ruining it.
"Berenice Victoria Carter!" He said and faced her.
"Oh oh busted!" Berenice said with her puppy dog eyes staring at him. He knows Hanif calls her by her full name only when he is mad.
"I just wanna be alone." Hanif said while staring at the staircase.
"She will be fine." She said and pat him on the shoulder. She slid her hand into his arm and held him tightly while resting her head on his shoulder.
"Thanks Bernie." He kissed her head and she smiled.

"You make that dress look glamorous." Jaffar commented as Aliyah walked out of the room. She just rolled her eyes. She had eaten before, she needed all the energy she can get if she wanted to get away from him tonight.
Jaffar groaned at her reaction. He got closer to her but she took a step back. They starred at each other for a moment. Aliyah stood up straight, ready to move away if he trys to touch her.
"A thank you won't be bad." He said with a smile. You would think he was so good if he flashed you that smile.
"I wanna speak with my daddy." She said still starring at him.
"You mean my Father in-law?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Please." Aliyah pleaded.
"Fine, tonight after dinner at my father's you can use my phone to call him." He said after seeing her green eyes were turning teary. He was in no mood to listen to her crying.
"Thank you." She said and smiled. She has to play the sweet wife if she wants him to give her a break.
"Wipe that fake smile off your face. It doesn't fool me." He said with a smirk and Aliyah stepped on his foot with all her might. He bit his lip in anger and held her arm tightly, bruising her at the wrist.
"Do that one more time and I will make you join me in the shower." He said through clenched jaws.
"You disgust me." Aliyah spat on his face and sat on the couch. She couldn't wait to get away from him. She would escape the first chance she gets.
Rita came in the living room and blindfolded her. Aliyah struggled but Jaffar held her tightly. He was too strong she couldn't fight him.
They drove to a place not far. Aliyah was still blindfolded. They didn't want her to know where she was.
"We are here." Jaffar said and took off the blindfolds. "Smile like the good wife you are."
"I hate you Jaffar." Aliyah hissed at him.
"Don't try anything. I am not good. I will not hesitate to have fun with you." He blew her a kiss and got off the car. He opened the door for Aliyah and she stepped out.
They were standing in front of a mansion. It was big and beautiful but she was in no position to take in it's beauty.
"Mr. Jaffar," an old man smiled at them. "And you must be his wife." He bowed and Aliyah flashed him a smile.
"Your father has been waiting. This way please." He showed them to the drawing room. Jaffar's old father smiled when they walked in.
They exchanged salaams and went to the dinning room.
"Don't try anything stupid." Jaffar pulled Aliyah closer to himself. "Perfect wife, remember."
She pulled away from him and smiled. If she is going to pretend to be a 'perfect wife' she might as well take advantage of it.
"Good girl." He whispered and sat down next to his father.

Marla heard about what Jaffar did. She smiled.
"I finally have something against you, dearest Jaffar." She said with a smirk. She saved Haytham's phone number after watching the video he posted on his fan page.
She had tried emotional blackmail but it didn't work. Maybe this will work.
