Ch:12 You Again

"Good morning Julia. How are you? "asked Melanie.

"Morning Melanie. I am good. What about you? " replied Julia.

"I am great. Let's go to the class, it's about to start. "

Then they proceeded to the class. They were sitting when a familiar figure to Julia approached. He was Thomason, who only got to this school because of a scholarship he earned. It was before he met Julia that he won it. Julia's face turned pale immediately and her eyes were filled with terror. When he walked passed her, she turned her head away not wanting to see him.

Thomason on the other hand was surprised to see Julia there. When she turned away from him, his heart sank into complete disappointment. Thomason knew she won't forgive him. He went back to the class and sat next to his friend, Joe. Julia's eyes became watery but she tried hard not to cry. She still loved and cared for him. At that moment, Julia wanted to run away as far as possible.

"You seem a little more depressed than usual. Come on, spill it out, "said John as he noticed Thomason's face get darken.

"Johnny, it's just I love Julia and she is here. When I walked pass her, she turned her face away. She has the right to do that. I hurt her so bad and I want her back. I wish she could understand me ", replied Thomason.

"What is her description? "

"Julia is one of the prettiest girl I ever saw. Honey brown hair and passionate, green eyes. She sits near the window", replied Thomason.

John couldn't bear to watch his friend suffer. He had a plan to bring Julia back to Thomason. When the class was over, Julia told Melanie to go to the next class without her as she had to do something. Once she left, Julia rushed through the corridor. All she wanted to do was to escape this nightmare when all of sudden she felt someone pulling her from behind.

"Before you say something, let me explain. You might not know me but there is something important I need to tell you,"said John as he pulled Julia into a secret passage way.

"What is the necessary thing you wanted to tell me that you had to bring me here?And who are you?" requested Julia.

"I am John, Thomason's best friend. Promise you will listen to me, don't interrupt me and don't leave," said Joe.

"Ok I promise. Now tell me what you have for me."

"I know what happened between you and Thomason. But he didn't mean it ...... "

"He did mean it. He didn't care for me. He just used me."

"You promised you will let me complete. Thomason loved you with every piece of his heart. Do you think he wanted to do that? No Julia. He did that to protect you. His father saw you together and told him to use you. He wanted to keep you away from him, even if that meant loosing you. When you went, Thomason wasn't like he used to be. He rarely showed to classes. When he show, it's because of the warning he received. You didn't see him the few weeks ago because he was still in agony. For the first time I saw him crying. If you don't believe me, take a look at the bruise on his face. I am sure you will know it's because of abuse", said John. Then he left Julia.

Julia fell on her knees, crying. "Is that true? How could I trust him? I will ask Melanie about him." Julia wiped her tears before going to class

She just reached on time before class began. After the class, Julia went to Melanie and asked, "What do you know about that boy called Thomason?"

"Not much. I just know that his father beats him. I really think people exaggerate when they say he gets abused. I bet the scar is from fighting. I have heard that several times but never believed it. I don't like him", replied Melanie.

"Ok, thanks alot. It's home time. See you tomorrow Melanie."

"See you tomorrow Julia," replied Melanie.

Julia went and got on the car with James.

"This can't be true. Did Thomason really love me? Does he really get abused by his father. Melanie said he does which prove the truth of the things that the boy told me. What am I going to believe? He did that for me?" She as going to see the scar which will determine if the sayings were true.
