Ch:16 A Love Triangle

Sun shone brightly on Julia's bed. It was the first time since a decade that Julia had such a peaceful sleep, dreaming about the stuff she was going to do with Thomason at school. Julia woke up with a smile on her face. She wore her uniform and changed her hairstyle a bit. Instead of everyday pony, she made her hair into a French braid.

"Good morning Helen," said Julia with a broad smile on her face.

"It seems like you're in a good mood. I hope you will always be happy. But what happened?"

"Nothing. Helen, could you increase the number of cookies you put for me for lunch. It's just so delicious and I can't seem to get enough of it,",said Julia.

"Thank you," replied Helen, "of course I will. Have a great day at school."

"I will,"said Julia and then left for school.

"Julia, your face is glowing with happiness today. What happened?" asked Melanie.

"Nothing, I am just in a good mood,"replied Julia.

Then they went to their class. This was the first time Julia enthusiastically waited for someone to enter the class. Finally, the one she waited for entered. Thomason was walking to the back of the class to his seat but then paused to give Julia a warm, welcoming smile. Julia gave a warm smile too. After the class finished, Julia said to Melanie that she will meet her in the class as she forgot something. Julia was surprised to see Thomas on at her locker.

"Hello Thomason. How are you doing today?" asked Julia.

"I am good. Thank you for asking. What about you?"

"I am great."

"I just came to thank you for giving me a chance. So I guess, see you at lunch time?"said Thomason.

"Sure. See you then."

Then both went to their classes. Both Julia and Thomason waited for the break, patiently. Time seemed to move deliberately. Finally it was lunch break. Julia sat with her friends and then excused them. She searched for Thomason but he was no where to be seen. While she was searching , she saw through the window of the cafeteria that Thomason was at the backyard with his friend, Joe.

"Hi Thomason and his friend...... "

"John. Have you already forgotton?"

"It seems to. Pardon me."

"Hi Julia,"replied Thomason, "as you see this is my best friend ,John, who told you my story. Without him, we wouldn't be together."

"Thank you John," said Julia.

"You're welcome. I mean look at little Thomason, his heart is filled with joy. Isn't that kiddo?" teased John as he poked Thomson's head.

"Who do you call a little kid!" replied Thomason as he started to chase John.

The two guys were chasing and teasing each other around the yard. Julia laughed at the hilarious scene.

After they stopped, Thomason asked Julia, "Julia, after school, John and I are going to an amusement park not far from here. Would you like to join us?"

"But what about your father?"

"Don't worry about him. I will take care of Thomason. I will lend him some money,"said John, "it was my idea in the first place. So Thomason could cheer up. He refused but then I insisted until he gave up."

"That's great! Could I invite some friends?"

"Yes, invite them. The more, the better. Also be ready at 4. Johnny boy will pick you and your friends."
