Dear Diary,

I have a joke to kick off the morning.

Well, today, 2 peanuts were walking down the street, one was a salted.

Hahahaha, yeah I'm gonna die alone.

At least my jokes are better than Monika's.

So, I woke up early today, our TV is bust thanks to my brother and his friends, my phone is charging - and here  I am.

There's a whole term left of school before summer break, and the weather has chosen to be bipolar, and I literally am being the typical British person and talking about the weather when there's nothing else to talk about :D

"Aria!!! Get your ass down here, we're getting late!"

Yeah, that would be Angel calling. Don't mistake her name for her personality, she's an insult to the devil.

Byeeeee

I tuck my diary underneath my pillow, before turning around and realising Angel is leaning against my door frame.

"When are you gonna give the diary up? You're no Stefan Salvatore, trust me." Angel asks me whilst folding her arms.

"When I want to, and obviously not, he's perfect. Now move aside, like you said, we're getting late." I replied, before grabbing my phone and bag and shuffling past her.

I ran into my English class, blasting open the door, realising everyone was sat in different seats.

And they were silent.

Okay this is new, I thought to myself.

"So, considering everyone else is present, I'm presuming you're Aria." A man, who I assumed was our new teacher, said as he looked up at me from what I assumed was the seating plan.

I nodded oddly.

"Do you have anything to say for arriving to my class late?" He asked sternly.

"I'm only late by 2 minutes or something." I muttered under my breath, but clearly not quietly enough considering he heard me.

"Every minute counts. So I'm not going to waste my time arguing with you, so go sit down next to Mitchell." He said, his eyes as cold as an eagle. He kinda looked like one too to be...wait. Did he say Mitchell??

I dragged my feet and sat down, trying to hide my pissed off look from the rest of the class who were staring at me.

"Aria." Mitchell whispered.

I ignored him as I attempted to plug in my headphones and do some work.

"Ariaaa." He whispered again.

I continued to ignore him.

"Ariaaaahhh!" He said in the loudest whisper possible whilst nudging me.

"What??" I replied, pulling out an earplug.

"What's the time?" He asked.

"Do I look like Mr Wolf to you?" I replied.

"Just tell me the time man, the clock's broken." He pleaded.

I  sighed before flicking my wrist and realising it was bare.

Great, I forgot my watch at home.

"Sorry, I forgot my watch at home." I said quickly.

"You forgot your watch at who's house?" He replies.

Before I could explain how he misheard me, Ida spoke up from the other end of the table.

"Oh you know..K..."

"Ooooh K??" Mitchell says whilst smirking and looking around the classroom. "So, Aria has a crush on Keegan??"

"What?? No no no, ew - like never. I said I forgot my watch at home - not anyone else's house!" I defended myself in a loud whisper.

"Uh huh sure."

The lesson ended, so I went outside and slumped on the bench alongside my friends.

"So, did you get detention for being late?" Angel asks me.

"Nope, but that new English teacher is a hell of a bitch." I replied.

"What teacher isn't, exactly?" Rosalie says whilst opening her second crisp packet in 2 minutes.

"Seriously, 'every second counts' my foot. Why's he wasting his time yelling at me then?" I asked.

"Why were you late today anyway?" Monika asks.

I was about to answer before I heard coughing behind me.

I turned around to see Mitchell walking past and so subtly saying Keegan's name in between his retarded coughs.

I rolled my eyes and turned back, only to hear a loud thud from behind me.

"Oh my days." I burst out laughing upon seeing Mitchell on the ground and Rosalie and Angel high fiving each other.

"He was asking for it?" Angel says innocently.

"So. Keegan and Aria??" Selina asks, whilst raising her eyebrows and pulling a childish smile.

"No way, Mitchell and Aria for sure." Monika says.

"What about Austin!? He's the one she likes anyway." Angel asks.

"Angel, we all know she has no chance there." Rosalie states.

"HEY!! I'm sitting right here guys. And no and no to Mitchell and Keegan. I'm sticking with Austin." I reply whilst folding my arms.

"Whatever. I'm still Team Mitchell." Monika laughs.

"Yeah, I'm joining her." Angel adds.

"Guys, seriously I hate him, he's so annoying." I sigh.

My friends do not know when to stop.

"Hate turns in to love eventually, that's what you say isn't it?" Selina asks me with a smirk on her face.

"Not in this case." I reply.

"Uh huh sure, write this down Angel. I smell a love square going on here." Rosalie giggled.

"I'm on it. Aria's Love Interests. ALI for short." Angel smiled.

"You guys aren't giving this up anytime soon, are you?" I asked.

They both shook their heads in unison before continuing writing.

And that, was day one of three-hundred and sixty five complications.
