I got to Rosalie's house in 10 minutes as said.

Amazing how I could change in 5 minutes when I'm running late and still look the same as I would if I spent an hour getting ready.

"Angel!! Find me a jacket to go over this!" Rosalie yelled as she frantically searched through her drawers.

"I swear to God - plan your outfit the night before man." Angel said, as she pulled out an array of hoodies and jackets. "This one?" She asked, holding up a black bomber jacket.

"Ooh, when did I get that?" Rosalie sang as she pulled it on.

"Are you guys ready yet?" I asked, as I sat on the bed scrolling through my Instagram feed.

"Yeah...I haven't brushed my hair." Angel said, running to a mirror.

"I give up with you guys."

*******

We met up with Selina, Monika and the guys at the bus stop, and we all dashed inside, totally getting judged by the driver, and ran up the stairs.

No-one else was there, so we decided to rob Ishmael's speaker and blast some music.

We had all stolen the 5 seats at the back, and the guys were scattered about causes mayhem as per usual.

"Ugh how long is this drive?" Selina whined.

"Like 40 minutes?" Ramon replied.

"Hey it's not that bad." Mitchell added.

"I know right, how do you guys hate road trips?" Keegan asked, stuffing crisps in to his mouth whilst looking half asleep.

"Not we - Selina." Monika smirked.

"It is not my fault okay - they're boring." She said, slouching back in her seat and carrying on playing some random fantasy warfare game that looked like one of those disturbing pop up ads you get on illegal movie websites.

For a second we all fell silent, recognising the song that came on, before exchanging a glance amongst each other.

"YOU'RE INSECURE."

"DON'T KNOW WHAT FOR."

"YOU'RE TURNING HEADS WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE DO-O-OR."

"DON'T NEED MAKEUP. TO COVER UP."

"BEING THE WAY THAT YOU ARE IS ENOU-OU-OUGH."

"EVERYONE ELSE IS THE ROOM CAN SEE IT...EVERYONE ELSE BUT YO-OU...."

"BABY YOU LIGHT UP MY WORLD LIKE NOBODY ELSE, THE WAY THAT YOU FLIP YOUR HAIR GETS ME OVERWHELMED, AND WHEN YOU SMILE AT THE GROUND IT AIN'T HARD TO TELL, YOU DON'T KNOW -OH OH, YOU DON'T YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL!!!"

"I swear you girls have just given my ears cancer." Keegan said.

"Dude, just because your taste in music are the medieval themes to Selina's porno Viking games." Angel remarked.

"OH MY DAYS THEY'RE BATTLES - NOT THOSE THINGS." Selina shrieked. "And I just lost the level. Great."

"You love us." I smiled.

"Love is a big word friend."

********

We got to the bowling alley slightly early, surprisingly there was barely any traffic.

We walked in to a neon themed arena, surrounded by arcade machines and those grab toy games that were total frauds. The scent of sprayed bowling shoes filled the air as the neon lights shot and filled every corner of the black light room.

"Shoe sizes?" A bored looking man in his 30's with a ponytail asked us as he obnoxiously chewed gum.

"Two size 6's, one 5, two 7's, four 8's and one 9." Mitchell said, as we all glanced at Keegan as he said the last number.

"I'm tall!! Not my fault I have large feet dude." He retorted defensively.

The man handed us our sets of shoes and muttered,

"Lane 5, you have two hours. Enjoy."

We handed him our regular shoes and walked over to our lane.

"So boys verses girls?" Rosalie smiled.

"It's like you want to fail." Ramon replied.

"Speak for yourself." Monika said, grabbing a bowling ball and rolling it, hitting eight out of ten pins.

"Ooooh." The boys said, slapping Ramon on the back.

Monika took another shot and picked up the spare by knocking down the other two pins.

"Good luck." She smiled at Ramon, who took his shot, only knocking down 6 pins, then 2 in his next try.

"Really dude." Mitchell said.

"It's harder than it looks!" Ramon said defensively. "Your turn Aria."

I picked up a marbled purple ball,

"Shit this thing's heavy." I muttered.

I began to take aim, but the ball went rolling down the pipe on the edge, a clear sign that I'd flopped.

Obviously, half the guys burst out laughing before I shot them a death glare.

"Pull your arm further back and step forward when you roll." A voice, clearly Mitchell's, whispered to me as he put his arm around mine, swinging them back in unison as the ball went rolling forward, knocking down every pin.

"HA!!" I heard Selina, Rosalie and Monika shout in unison, but their voices were muffled as I stared in to Mitchell's brown eyes as he smiled at me foolishly.

"CHEATER!!" Keegan shouted as he threw both his arms around Mitchell's neck, pulling him away from me.

Ugh - REALLY KEEGAN!?!!?

"Hey I didn't ask him to help me." I said, smiling at Mitchell.

"That was my choice dude." Mitchell said, patting Keegan's head and walking off.

"W-wh-what? Ughhh I hate you man." Keegan complained, throwing his hands up in the air, as Ishmael went for his turn and I sat on a beanbag alongside my friends.

"Boys, so competitive." I sighed, laughing at their stupidity.

"I know right." Monika said.

"Where's Angel?" I asked, realising she wasn't in the space between Selina and Rosalie.

"She walked off to get a drink some-" Selina began, before something caught our eye.

"Who's that she's talking to?" Monika asked curiously, lifting her head up to see what was going on.

"I don't know - his face is covered by the back of her head." Rosalie said. "Probably a dude from school or something."

"Sure." Monika smirked, as we nudged her for getting the wrong idea.

"It's Angel we're talking about dumbass." I said.

"Maybe I should go-" Selina began.

"NO." We all said in unison, dying of hysteria.

"Hey, Selina, it's your turn." Abram said, as she stood up and rushed over to take her shot.

"Hey Aria." Rosalie said, as I turned my head towards her. "Maybe we should go-"

"NO." Monika laughed.

Oh the irony, I smiled to myself and looked down at my phone that vibrated.

Wanna get out of here? -M

I looked up to see him smiling, and found myself with him in seconds, hand in hand - happy.
