KristenPOV

I was sitting on the roof thinking when my phone started ringing. "hello?" I answered. "hey it's Jason." I couldn't stop smiling. "hey Jason." "what are you doing?" "nothing sitting on my roof looking at the sky. What are you doing?" "nothing." "oh, did you think about what you wanted to do for science?" I asked. "let's build something." "like what?" "a robot." "ooh maybe a robot that plants flowers." I knew he wouldn't like that idea but I still said it. "I don't want to build a gay robot." we started laughing. "Jason that's not nice!" I giggled. "well sorry." he laughed. "yeah." "why does Bryan call you San Fran?" "because I'm from San Francisco." "oh ok." "Why are you so mean to me?" "I'm not mean to you." "well right not you're not but at school you are. I want to be your friend.." "I'm sorry I won't be that way anymore." "you don't like me?" I asked. "I do like you." "you do?" "yea." I couldn't stop smiling. "ok." "You have to promise me something." Jason said. "what?" "from now on you have to speak to me first at school an not Bryan." "an you promise not treat like that anymore?" "yea." "ok an I promise to always talk to you first." I smiled. "ok. So.." "what?" I asked. "do you have a boyfriend?" "no. Do you have a girlfriend?" "no. Not even one back in San Francisco?" "no. I've never really had a boyfriend." "explain that to me. You've never really had a boyfriend." "I moved around so much I could never get anything going." "oh ok. Me too my mom moved us so much it's hard just making friends. But she promised we'd stay where I live now till I graduate." "aw that was sweet of your mom. I don't know if I'll be here long but I'm gonna try to graduate while I'm here." "why? Can't you ask you mom to stay put?" "it's not that simple Jason." "why?" "if we're friends longer then 3 months I'll tell you." "why so long?" "because Jason, nothing in my life last longer then 3 months." "well I'm gonna last longer then 3 months." "I want you to.." I heard my bedroom door. "Jason I have to go I'll see you tomorrow." "ok bye." "bye." I climbed in the window an sat on my bed. My aunt burst in my room an slapped me and I knew she'd been drinking. She punched me an I fell on the floor an laid there. She got on top of me a started chocking me. Before I knew it I passed out.

When I woke up I was in a hospital room. Then I heard my aunt and uncle talking. "Clair you can't keep beating her like this they'll take the child and we need that money she's getting." "She started it with me James!" They were whispering loudly. "I know that but we can't keep bringing her here." "They don't know what happen I told them she was in a car accident." "Ok Clair do what you want." I was sick if listening to them talk so I tuned them out. A few minutes later the doctor came in and looked at me. "Oh you're awake." He smiled. "What day is it?" I asked. "Its Friday." "Oh, I missed school..." The doctor smiled at me. "You like school huh?" "Yes, I just started at a new school." I sat up slowly and looked at the doctor. "How are you feeling?" "My head really hurts." "Ok I'll give you something for that." He went off talking to my aunt and uncle then he left the room. A few minutes later he came back with pills. I took them and fell right to sleep. 3 days later the hospital let my aunt and uncle take me home. I was so depressed I cried when we got there. "Since you're crying James and I are taking the kids to dinner. You better have your shit together when we get back." Aunt clair yelled. "Can I come?" I asked. "Hell no! You look like shit!" She yelled then walked out of the house and slammed the door. I started to cry harder, when I finally pulled myself together I got up and went to my room. I got my things ready for school the next day then sat in my chair. A few hours later my aunt came into my room. She looked at my clothes on the bed then looked at me. "What's that?" "My clothes for school tomorrow. You're not going to school tomorrow, you're not going back to those bruises heal." She took the clothes and walked out. I put my head down and tried my hardest not to cry. When she came back she looked at me. "I am in the mood for a chocolate cake, go bake one!" "Ok. Can I have my cell phone?" I asked. "No, you might call someone." "Oh." I walked past her down to the kitchen. In the middle of making the cake thoughts of my mother popped into my mind. "Mom where are you? I need you to save me.." Tears slipped from my eyes but I quickly wiped them away. When the cake was finished I told my aunt then went back to my room.
