Kristen's POV

I've been spending a lot of time with my mother these past few days, its been the best time of my life. Right now we're on the beach and this guy is totally checking her out. "Hey mom look, that guy is checking you out." "Kristen." She blushed. "Are you checking him out too?" I giggled. She had on sunglasses so I couldn't see her eyes. "No I'm spending time with my baby." She smiled. "Well I'm checking him out." She started laughing. I loved my moms laugh, it was quiet and classy. My mother and I had a few serious talks, she apologized for failing me and not being the mother I needed. I cried because I didn't feel like she failed me. I know she hasn't been there but she was sick and I can't fault her for that. I told her this was us starting over and that's all that mattered to me. Since then we've been having a good time together. I looked around then I realized I didn't know how old she was. "Hey mom?" "Yes?" "How old are you?" "I'm really old sweetheart." "How old?" "36." "Whaat?? You're not old, you're in your prime." She started laughing. "My prime huh?" "Yeah! Um.." "What honey?" "Do you have other kids?" "No you're my only baby." "Yes!" "What?" She started laughing again. "You're all mine." I started laughing. "And you're all mine." She giggled and looked out at the water. "Mom I'm gonna go get in the water I'll be back." "Ok sweetie." I was getting  pushed around by the waves when my mother called me, she said something about the phone. I ran over to her and she said it was Ellen. We talked for a little bit then I had to go and ask about Jason. Ellen said he missed me but he wouldn't say it. All of the stuff I pushed out of my head came rushing back and it felt like my heart had broken all over again. To get me off the phone my mother told me lets go get in the water. I told Ellen I would call her back so we hung up and I started to cry. "I hate him so much." "Who sweetie?" "Jason.. He's such a jerk.." I started crying harder. My mother held me till I finished crying. "What happen?" "He broke up with me before the trip, he said he didn't want to be with me anymore.." My phone started ringing again and it was aunt Clair. I gave the phone to mom and pulled myself together. She answered and told aunt Clair off then hung up and I started laughing. We went back to talking about Jason and my mother made me feel better. A few minutes later my mothers friend Rachel came over with her daughter.

"Sweetheart this is my friend ms Rachel and her daughter Lynn." "Nice to meet y'all." I shook both their hands. "Hey you wanna go take a dip?" Lynn asked. "Sure." I kissed my mothers cheek then we went and hopped in the water and played around for a while. "Come on girls let's go eat!" Ms Rachel called out and we ran over. We went back to the rehab center and got dressed then went and to get some food. While we were there I was still kinda sad but I pushed it to the back of my mind. "So Kristen, how old are you?" Lynn asked. "16, you?" "16." "Where do you live?" "Here.. Ugh.." "What's wrong?" "I'm moving soon." "Where?" "To the sticks." "I already live in the sticks, its not that bad." "Where do you live?" "In Georgia... They sure know how to grow'em." Me and my mother started laughing. "For us city folk, what does that mean?" Rachel asked. "Nice looking guys." I smirked. "Ohh." Lynn giggled. The more Lynn and I talked the more I found we had in common. She lived with her aunt and she hated her was what stood out to me. She was so open about it with her mother, I wanted things to be like that with me and mom. "So who do you live with Kristen?" "My aunt?" "Oh you like it?" "Not really no." "Why not?" "Because my aunt... Well she... Its just not fun." I looked around. "At least your aunt doesn't beat you for no reason." I didn't say anything, instead I sipped my tea. I noticed my mother and ms Rachel looking at me so I looked away. "Mom can I have some pie?" I tried to change the subject. "Sure.." She looked at me for a few more seconds then flagged down the waiter. While we were there I noticed my mother would glance at me every so often. We hung out with Rachel and Lynn till it started to get late then Aunt Clair started calling. We took Lynn to her aunts house and dropped me off with aunt Clair. "Sweetie I wanna talk to you tomorrow." "Ok." "Alright I love you honey." "Love you too mom." Aunt Clair and I went back to the hotel. I took a shower and thought about Jason, It hurt so bad being without him. Not hearing him laugh and not calling him was killing me. I thought we were in love but I guess it was just me. "How can he pretend to love me? Why was it so easy for him to say all that stuff?" I had so many questions that I probably would never have answered. I cried myself to sleep.

Jason's POV

Ellen and Bryan were back in 30 minutes with their things. "Jay I think we should take my truck." "Why?" "Well I haven't really put it to the test since I got it." "Alright." I just want to get to Kristen and ask her to take me back everything else didn't matter. "What are we waiting for?" Ellen asked. "My mom." We sat there and talked for a little bit then my mother finally came in. "Jason come here." I went into the kitchen with her. "Yes?" She exhaled and looked at me. "Since I know I can't stop you here's money for gas and a hotel room." "Thanks mom." "And a cell phone, you better pick up every time I call you hear me? "Yes ma'am." "Alright now drive safely." She kissed my cheek and hugged me tightly. "Mom I'm coming back." "Alright." She hugged me again then we left.

Kristen's POV

I woke up to my phone ringing this morning. It was Ellen asking the name of the hotel I was staying at. It was weird but I blew it off and went back to sleep. When I woke up again I got dressed and asked aunt Clair to meet up with mom. I thought she was going to leave but she decided to stay with us and ruin my day. Me, aunt Clair and mom went to the beach and hung out for a while. I was quiet most of the time because of aunt Clair, I didn't want to say something then she beats me when we get back to Georgia. My mind went to Jason and how much I missed him. Before I started to cry I went and got in the water. After while Lynn and ms Rachel came. After being in the water for a while Lynn and I decided to walk on the beach and talk. "I'm moving to Georgia." She exhaled. "Why do you seem so sad?" "I'm leaving my friends and my boyfriend." "Oh.." "It sucks, my boyfriend said he'll come to Georgia once I find out where we're gonna live." "He's sweet." "Yeah, we're gonna run away." "Really? When?" "We're just waiting for the right time." "Are you gonna finish school?" "I guess." "You should. Then do what you have to do when you finish. That's what my plans were." "They're not anymore?" I exhaled. "No, but things change right?" "Yes. What part of Georgia do you live in?" "Macon." "What?!! That's were we're moving!! We should hang out!" "You should ask your aunt to let you go to my school too. When are you moving?" "Ok! After vacation." We talked for a little while longer then decided to get back in the water.

Jason's POV

We left at 10am and it was 5 now, it's like we've been driving forever. "How long does it take to get there?" I exhaled. "We have a long way to go so I'm gonna say a day or so." Ellen said. This ride was taking forever I needed to get to Kristen like yesterday. "So do you know what you're gonna say to her?" Bryan asked. "I don't know... I'm Sorry.. Please come back to Georgia with me.. I don't know." "You have to plan this out Jason." "No, he has to speak from the heart." Ellen added. "Whatever." "Jason don't be like Bryan an rehearse, say what you feel when you get in front of her." "Ok." Ellen kept driving then it started to get late and she didn't want to anymore. "Let's stop till morning.." Bryan suggested. "No we have to get there, I'll drive." "Jason we're gonna get there.." Ellen stated. "just get in the back and I'll drive." "Fine." We traded seats and I pulled off. "Is it the same time in San Francisco as Georgia?" Bryan asked. "I don't know." I mumbled. "I don't think it is." Ellen said. Bryan and Ellen went to sleep and I listened to the radio and drove all night, the next day around 10 we were pulling into San Francisco. I was so tired, I just wanted to shower and take a nap. I woke Ellen up to see what hotel Kristen was staying at. She told me then went back to sleep so I stopped and asked for directions, the guy told me I was another hour away. I was annoyed because I was tired but I pushed through it and made it to the hotel. I woke Bryan and Ellen up and we all decided to share a room.
