Jason's POV
It was finally friday and I couldn't wait to see Kristen, but I had to work. "This sucks." I mumbled. "What?" My friend Ron asked. "I have to be here." Ron started laughing. "So its not like you have a girlfriend waiting for you." "Actually I do, her name is Kristen." "Sure Jason." He walked away laughing. "What was that about?" I mumbled. I thought about it for a few seconds then let it go. "9 o'clock needs to come on." I whispered. I decided to find something to do till it was time to leave. By the time I was finished cleaning up and taking the trash out it was 8:30. I was standing around when Ron called me. "Jason come here!" I went over to where he was standing. "What man?" I said. "Look." I looked around but I didn't see anything. "At the door Jason." I looked over at the door and seen Kristen and Ellen. "I'm gonna get the brown hair girl and you get the blonde." Ron smirked. "No." "What, why?" "They have boyfriends." I smirked. "So? Their boyfriends don't have anything to do with us." He started to get on my nerves. "Look man the brown hair girl is my girl and the blond is my friends." "Whatever, she's to pretty to be your girl." "What?" I laughed. "I'm still gonna get her number. "Whatever." He was starting to get on my nerves again. "We'll just see when they come over here." "Ok." I shook my head. "10 minutes later they walked over to the register and Ron still tried. "Hey ladies how y'all doing tonight." "Hey." I added an they both looked at me. "Hey Jay! I forgot you worked here." Ellen said giving me a quick hug. "Hey baby." Kristen came and hugged me then kissed me on the cheek. "What yall doing?" "Ms I need candy here wanted to come and get you and her some pop corn and candy for movie night... Oh yeah we're having a movie night tonight at my house." Ellen said. "Ok. I'll be there when I get off. "What time is that?" Kristen asked. "9 o'clock. You look pretty." I smiled. She had on short shorts and a pink plaid shirt. "Thank you baby." "You're welcome." "Excuse me we have on the same thing." Ellen added. "You look very nice as well Ellen." "Aw thank you Jason, you're so sweet." She giggled then put the stuff on the counter. After they paid I told Ron I was walking them out to help with their bags. Before he could say anything I took their stuff and we headed for the door. I laughed to myself because I knew he was mad. I took the girls bags to the truck and stole a few kisses from Kristen. "Jason!" She giggled. "What?" "You're at work.." Before she could say anything else I kissed her again. "I'll be over your house soon as I get off." "Alright." I kissed Kristen again then they left and I went back inside the market. "I can't wait to leave." I looked at my watch and went back to work.
When work was over I went home and took a shower, now I am on my way to Ellen's house. I finally got to Ellen's house and parked. I knocked on the door and she let me in. "Hey baby!" Kristen came and kissed me. "Hey, I missed you so much after you left." "Aww Jason I missed you too!" "No y'all didn't, they've been talking about the mall all day long." Bryan added. "Shut up bry!" Kristen said walking to the living room. We sat on the couch and Kristen snuggled next to me. "Jay?" "Yeah?" "How was your day?" "It was alright, I missed you a lot and work was really dull. How was your day?" "It was alright till I went home." She whispered. "What happen?" "My aunt beat the crap out of me." "Why?!" I borderline yelled. "Jason shh." Kristen whispered. "Sorry what happen?" "I went home to get clothes and aunt Clair said she wanted to ruin my weekend so she did that stuff to me. If Ellen didn't knock on the door it would've been worst." She lifted her shirt a little and showed me a purple bruise on her stomach. "This really hurts." I felt myself getting so mad a frustrated. I wanted to protect her but I couldn't. "Baby I'm so sorry." I put my hand on the bruise. "You don't have anything to be sorry about Jason." She put her shirt down but I kept my hand there. "I promised to protect you an I can't." "Jay you can't think like that, there's nothing neither one of us can do to stop this." "But.." She kissed me. "Jason this is bigger then both of us, just promise me something." "What?" "Promise you'll never hit me or hurt me like my family has." "Kristen I could never do those things to you. I swear you'll never have to worry about me abusing you." I kissed her as passionately as I could. "Yeah?" She looked me in the eyes. "Yeah."She exhaled and put her head on my shoulder. "I promise after we graduate we're leaving here and you'll never have to worry about those people again.." Kristen looked at me. "I like that.. A lot." "You just have to hold on a little bit longer." "I will Jay I promise." She smiled and I kissed her. "Hey baby I have to use the bathroom, I'll be right back." "Ok." I got up and went to the bathroom. When I closed the door I leaned against it and closed my eyes. "Man!" I whispered. I was so mad about what Kristen's aunt did to her I just wanted to scream. "Why does she do this to her?!" I sat on the floor and put my head down for a few minutes. "Its only a little bit longer." I took a deep breath and pulled myself together. I got up and washed my hands then went back to Kristen. I sat on the couch and looked at her. "Jason it's alright." She kissed me on the cheek. "Its just a little bit longer." "Yeah and you know Jay, when we leave here we can do whatever you want. Weather that's baseball or anything else." She laced her fingers threw mine and put her head on my shoulder. "Really? Anything?" "Anything long as it's me and you." "Anything?" I asked again. "Jason Williams anything." "Ok." I laughed.
Ellen, Bryan, Kristen and I was watching a movie when Kristen looked at me. "Jay?" "Yeah?" "Ellen has a lot of land here." "Ok." "And she has ATVs." She smirked. "What are you saying?" I smiled. "She showed me this giant mud..." "That's it I'm in." Bryan got up and took his shirt off. "San Fran girl you speak my language." Bryan said leaving the living room. "Come on Jay wanna go?!" I could tell she was excited. "Yea." "Ok!" She jumped up and her and Ellen ran to Ellen's room to get changed. I took my shirt off and put some shorts on and waited for the girls. Bryan came in the living room and looked at me. "Ok so she's awesome." "Yup and she's mine." "Lucky!" He laughed. A few minutes later the girls came back and it looked like they've been crying. "What's wrong?" "Nothing we're good now come on." I looked at Kristen and she had on a blue tank top and short shorts. They weren't the jeans kind, I think they're called spandex. Whatever the heck they are she looked great in them. "Baby come here." I stood up and she came over to me. "Yes?" "You look really good." I put my arms around her. "You think so?" She put her arms around my neck. "Yes." We kissed then headed to the back where the ATVs were. "You know how to ride this baby?" I asked Kristen. "Yes I'm good babe." Her and Ellen hopped on 2 ATVs and rode off. "Bye you guys!!!" Ellen yelled. Bryan and I hopped on our ATVs and chased them. When we caught up to the girls. Before we knew it they were flying through the mud, Bryan and I joined in we played on the ATVs for a while then the girls decided they wanted to go hang out at the lake that wasn't to far from where we were. So that's what we did.
