Kristen's POV
It was the day before Jason's birthday and I was trying to figure out what I was gonna do. Elliott hasn't told me anything about the song and all I got Jason was a number 9 braves jersey. I was just about to go to the mall and get him something else when mom and Elliott came in. They said they wanted to talk so I went to the living room with them. "So I have good news." Elliott smiled. "Ok." I was hoping it was about the song. "LeAnn Rimes is recording How do I live, it'll be out in a few weeks." "That's awesome! Mom loves her." That's who mom wanted to record the song. "And as far as your other song I have some good news about that too." "What!" I just about yelled. "Tim and Faith wants to record it." I just about died. "Wait.. Wait.. Tim and Faith as in McGraw and Hill?!" "Yes." "How do you know so fast?" "Well I'm working with Tim on some other stuff and I told him about it and he loved it soon as he heard it." "Oh my gosh thank you Elliott!!" I ran up to my room and tried to pull myself together. I couldn't believe Tim McGraw and Faith Hill wanted to sing me and Jason's song. I couldn't wait for tomorrow to tell him, I know he's gonna be so happy. I went back down to the living room to talk to mom and Elliott but they were gone. I watched TV till it got late then took a shower and went to bed. The next morning I got up and went to school. All day I avoided Jason because I didn't want to ruin the surprise. When school was over I went to work and died of boredom. When my shift was over I went home and took a shower and got dressed. I talked to mom for a while then I left to see Jason.
Jason's POV
"You're 18 now, how do you feel?" Bryan asked. "The same." I laughed. I was hanging out with him and his cousins till Kristen called me. "What did San Fran get you?" "I don't know I haven't seen her all day." "Not even at school?" "No and she had to work after that so I'm waiting for her to call me." "What are you hoping she got you?" Bryan's cousin smirked. "Really?" "What did Jessica get you?" Bryan smirked. "Some music stuff." "Cool." While we were talking my phone started ringing. "Hey." I answered. "Hey baby.. You're not home." "I am on my way." I laughed. "Where are you?" "With Bryan.. Wanna come here?" "Sure I'll come to you.." I told her to come to Bryan's house then we hung up. We went back to talking about random stuff an 20 minutes later I heard the door. "Finally." I said. Bryan went and answered the door and came back with Jessica and her friend Rose. "What are you doing here?" I think I was in complete shock. "Spending time with you on your birthday." "Jessica I told you to stop this." I took out my phone and call Kristen but she didn't answer. I didn't need her being pissed off at me on my birthday. "She's not even here." Jessica sat next to me. "Yeah but she's on her.." Someone rung the door bell an Bryan got up.
A few seconds later Bryan and Kristen came in the living room. "Hey." I got up and hugged her. "Hi." She looked at me for a few seconds. "Happy birthday." She didn't sound as happy as she did when we were on the phone. "Thank you." "Hey Kristen.. That's a nice hat you have on." Jessica started. "Thank you I'm so glad you like it." Kris was being sarcastic. "Is that for Jason's birthday?" Rose asked. "I'm sorry, do I know you?" "Yes you do bitch." "Struck a nerve?" Kristen smirked. "Watch your mouth in my house ok." Bryan snapped an looked at me. "Sorry Bryan." Kristen went and sat next to him. "Not you San Fran. Them." "Oh alright." Then she looked back at me. "Tell me I'm the best girlfriend on the planet." She smirked. "For a hat?" Jessica cut in. "Ok you're the best girlfriend on the planet." She got up and stood in front of me. "I don't believe you." She smirked. I had a feeling she had something good to be acting like this. "But you are now what is it?" She just smiled an looked at me. "Kristen come on, now I'm dying." Bryan laughed. "Nah I'll tell y'all tomorrow." She pretended to leave. "Kristen!" I don't know why but I had to know now. "Alright keep your panties up." She smiled and I looked at her with a blank look. "Ok, ok.. Elliott is gonna have our song recorded!!" She smiled. "Baby are you serious?!" I was trying to be cool. "Yup!" She looked at the floor them back at me. "because I'm totally.." I went over and kissed her. "If you're lying I'm gonna be so mad at you." "Jason!" She frowned. "Sorry.." I kissed her again. I was so happy but I was trying to control myself. "There's more." She giggled. "What is it?" "Someone already wants to record it." "Seriously?! Who.." "Wouldn't you like to know?" She started laughing and her phone started ringing. "Tell me!" I said as she answered. "Hello.." I tried to get her phone from her and she started laughing. "Stop it Jason!" "No." She was laughing and I was still trying to get the phone but she dropped it. "Jason stop it! Whoever that was probably hung up because of you!" She laughed and picked up the phone. "Hello.. Sorry mom Jason was trying to get my phone." "Sorry ms b." I laughed an looked at Bryan, he was laughing at me. While Kris was on the phone I told them bye and pulled Kristen toward the door. When Kristen finally got off the phone we got in her truck. "Baby where's your truck?" She asked. "Home." "Oh ok.." "What was that?" "Mom is staying over Elliott's tonight." "Oh ok." She pulled off. "Wanna go out to eat or something?" "Or something." I smirked. "Right.. I don't think so." "Why?" I looked at her. "I don't want too." "Oh.." "Sorry." "Its alright."
