After Jason dropped me off I went in the house an up to my room. A few minutes later aunt Clair opened the door and walked in. "So you went to Jason's house?" "Yes." "What did you tell them?" "Nothing." "Don't lie to me." "I'm not, I want Jason's mother to like me." "Oh." She walked out of the room and 30 minutes later my phone started ringing. "Hello?" I answered. "Hey girl!" It was Ellen. "Hey!" "What are you doing?" "Nothing at all, what are you doing?" "My dad is taking me fishing." "That sounds fun." "No Kris, He's going fishing and he's gonna leave me in the cabin alone." "Oh.." "I'm calling Bryan, you and Jason can come too." "What if your dad comes back?" "He'll be fine, I told him I was calling friends." "Oh, I'll talk to my aunt and call you right back." "Alright and there is no school Monday!" "Oh yeah ok!" I hung up and aunt Clair walked in my room. "Talk to me about what?" "Ellen's.." "Oh Ellen again." "Yeah she's my best friend. Her dad is taking her fishing and she said I can come too. Can I go?" Aunt Clair just looked at me. "I've never been fishing before." I added in hopes of her saying yes. "Will Jason be there?" "No Ellen's father doesn't allow boys around." "Then yeah you can go." "Thank you!" I picked up my phone and called Ellen back. "She said yes!!" "Ok pack some clothes I'm coming to get you!!" "Ok!" We hung up and I started to pack. "Oh aunt Clair there's no school Monday so I think that's when we'll be back." "They can keep you for all I care." "Ok!" I smiled and finished packing. About 30 minutes later Ellen called and said she was outside. I told aunt Clair bye then ran out to the truck.
Jason's POV
After I dropped Kristen off I went and hung out with Bryan. We played basketball for a while, now we're hanging out at his house. "So how are things with Ellen?" I asked. "Ok. I cheated on her again." "Wow you have to stop that." "I know, I'm not gonna do it anymore." "Really?" "Yea this time she cried and it made me feel horrible." "Wow." "And she said the next time I did it that would be the end of us. I think she's serious this time." "Why?" "She never looked at other guys, now I see her looking at other guys all the time. She won't have sex with me either." "That sucks." I didn't really feel sorry for Bryan, he does things like this to himself. "I know, how are things with you and Kristen? Its been a month right?" "Great, and yeah Monday is our 1 month anniversary." "What are you gonna do?" "I'm gonna take her out to dinner and give her the bracelet I got for her. I'm gonna tell her I love her too." "I thought.." Bryan's cellphone started ringing so he answered. While he was talking I started thinking about Kristen. I missed her so much and I was a little worried about her because I haven't talked to her since I dropped her off. "I'll ask to use Bryan's phone when he's finished." I turned around an realized Bryan disappeared on me. I got up and went to his room and seen him putting clothes in a bag. "What are you doing?" "Hey go home and pack some clothes, we're going fishing." "What?" I was confused. Ellen has her daddy's cabin. "I'm not going.." "Kristen's going." "Really?" "Yes." "Now go head." "Cool." I went home and called Kristen. "Hey baby!" She answered. "Hey." "Are you coming fishing with us?" "Of course." "Yay!" She giggled. "Baby?" "Yeah?" "You know what Monday is?" "Yes!" "Ok. I'm gonna go pack then me and Bryan will meet y'all there I guess." "Ok! I can't wait to see you!" "I can't wait to see you either baby." We hung up and I ran to my room an packed some clothes. I left my mother a note then headed back to Bryan's house. We made sure we had everything then we left for the cabin.
When we got there we seen Ellen's truck out front. We parked and headed for the door. "That's weird usually Ellen's father's truck is out here not hers." "Maybe he made her drive this time?" I suggested. "I wouldn't be surprised, that guys a bum." "Oh." We knocked on the door then Ellen answered. "Hey you guys!!" "Hey." We both said then she let us in. I looked around. "where's Kris?" "In there." She pointed to the kitchen. "Cool." I walked in the kitchen and seen Kristen Looking out of the window. "Oh I love this place." She whispered. I tip toed over to her and covered her eyes. "Guess who." "Jason!" She turned around and hugged me. "Baby I missed you." She said before kissing me. "Making out already?" Bryan laughed. "Hater." Kristen giggled then walked out of the kitchen. "Really man?" "If I'm not getting any you're not either." Bryan laughed and walked out of the kitchen. I shook my head and went to find Kristen. "Jay y'all can take the room up stairs Bryan and I will sleep down in this room." "Ok, have you seen Kris?" "She's up in the room." "Thanks Ellen." "welcome!" I went up to the room and found Kristen sitting on the bed. "What's the matter baby?" "Nothing." "Something's wrong." "Come here." I sat next to her and she climbed on my lap, We were face to face now. "What is it?" I asked. "I was talking to Ellen." "And?" "She said Bryan won't stop cheating on her." "You never have to worry about me cheating on you." "You promise?" "Yes." I seen tears in Kristens eyes. "She's really hurt Jay, I never want to feel like that." "And you never will, I'm all yours." "And I'm all yours.." She sniffed. "She's really hurt huh?" "Yeah he had sex with her cousin." "What?" I was a little shocked by that. "Yeah he said he didn't know she was her cousin but Ellen said she introduced them." "That's a new low right there." "Yeah, she said she thinks she's gonna brake up with him." "Wow." "You never have to worry about anything like that, you mean everything to me Kristen Marie Mills." "And you're my world Jason Aldine Williams I swear." I wanted to tell Kristen I loved her so bad but I got scared and just kissed her.
Kristen's POV
Jason and I just had a good talk now we were making out on the bed. "Hey you guys.. Sorry!!" Ellen closed the door. "Ellen!" I tried to call her but I was laughing. I got up and went to the door. When I opened it Ellen was standing there laughing. "I knew you wasn't gonna do it." "Shut up." We both started laughing. "Y'all wanna go hang in the woods?" "Where's your dad?" Jason asked. "Ok so here's the thing, he's not coming." "Why not?" I asked "he beat up some lady so he got arrested." "Oh my gosh!" I was so shocked. "I knoooow! He called and told me to come here till Tuesday." "Oh my gosh why?!" "I don't know." Ellen and I left the room and I kinda heard Jason laughing. "What is he laughing at?" "I don't know." We were getting ready to leave for the woods when Jason suggested we go fishing. Since I'd never been I was all for it. Ellen got the fishing stuff out then we left. "Kristen do you have any brothers and sisters?" Ellen asked. "Yeah, my dad has 6 children other then me." "What about your mom?" Jason asked. "I don't think she has any other then me." "You are the oldest?" "Um... Probably in the middle." "What about you Ellen?" "My dad has other kids but they don't come around." "That sucks." "I know." When we got to the pier Jason and Bryan was putting bait on the hooks. "Come here baby." I walked over to Jason and he showed me how to bait the hooks. "I am so smart." I said and Jason started laughing. "Yes you are baby." He put the line in the water and gave me the rod then he sat down. "Ellen look I'm fishing. Jealous yet?" We started laughing then I sat next to Jason. "Hey baby are you alright?" "Yeah." "You're sure?" "Yeah I'm just thinking about some stuff." "What stuff?" "I'm writing you a song." He smiled and looked away. "Awe baby." I kissed him. "You can't hear it yet." "Why not?" "Because its not finished." "Can you tell me the name?" I gave a innocent smile. "Ok but you better not laugh." "I won't I promise!" "Its called.... In spite of myself." "That sounds like its gonna be a great song. I can't wait to hear it baby." I kissed him again. We were sitting there for a while talking when I felt a light tug on my fishing line. "Babe I have something!" I was so happy, I stood up and tried to pull it in. "Oh come on Mr fishy." I was trying to pull it in but I wasn't doing a good job at it.. "Jay can you help me?" "Yeah." He got up and pulled the fish in. "Oh look your first fish! He's big too." Ellen smiled. We put the fish away and fished a little more then decided to go back to the cabin. Jason went to lay down so I sat and talked with Ellen for a while. It started to get late so I took a shower and got in the bed with Jay. It wasn't long before I was sleep too.
