Dana's POV:
*Monday, March 24, 2014, 10:13 a.m.*
I sat up and looked around. I remembered that I was in front of Lina's house and that I slept out there all night. The only thing different was that there was now a blanket that was over me.
I smiled down at the blue blanket. This showed me that Lina did still care, even if it was only a little bit.
I looked at the ground next to me, noticing a plate that was wrapped in saran wrap.
I leaned over from where I was sitting to reach for the plate. I took off the wrapping to see two slices of pizza that I happily ate.
"Lina?" I knocked on the door.
No answer.
I sighed, "Well, thank you."
I looked up at the dark sky and saw gray clouds forming.
Please don't rain, I thought.
Just my luck, rain started to fall. I curled up next to wall next to Lina's front door, trying to stay as dry as possible.
Soon the light drizzle became a shower, which involved thunder to sound.
My clothes were soaked with rain and I was freezing cold. I tried to wrap myself in the blanket that Lina had put over me last night, but even that was wet.
I considered getting in my car and going home, but I couldn't. I was going to stay here until Lina agreed to talk to me.
I heard a noise coming from the door, sounding like someone unlocking it, before it opened. I looked up at Lina who said, "If you're not going to go home then just come inside."
I smiled and stood up, walking into her house.
She closed the door behind me and walked away from me saying, "This doesn't mean I forgive you, it just means that I don't want you to get sick and blame me for it."
I nodded. Damn, I was cold.
"Your bag is still in my room and I'm making coffee. When you finish getting changed, the coffee will be done and the heater will probably have kicked up," she told me before walking into the kitchen and leaving me in the hallway by her stairs.
Did this mean that she still cared?
I got dressed then walked into the kitchen where Lina was pouring coffee into two mugs. She handed me one, which I gladly took. After the first sip, I instantly started to feel warmer.
"Thank you," I told her.
"I wasn't just going to let you sit out there in the rain," She answered.
"No, not just for letting me in, but for the coffee, my clothes, the breakfast, and the blanket. I really appreciate it."
Lina didn't answer, she just stared blankly into her coffee.
"How long is it supposed to rain for?" I asked her.
Lina shrugged.
I took out my phone, checking the weather, "They say the rain won't stop all day."
"Could you leave?" she looked up from her coffee.
"Why? Why do you want me to leave so badly?" I asked her, desperate for a reason to stay.
"Because you're making it so much harder on the both of us than it needs to be."
