Dalton's POV:
*Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 4:00 p.m.*"Are you seriously going to keep ignoring me, Cole? I've been calling you all week the least you could do is pick up the phone one god damn time! I'm trying to fix things! I'm trying to apologize! I didn't even do anything! I didn't know that they were going to show up! I didn't even want them there! I wanted to spend time with you guys! With my band! I-"
*Beep*
I was cut off by Cole's voicemail. My message was too long and I had already left so many.
Screw this.
I picked up my keys and called for Em.
"Where are you going?" she walked out of the kitchen.
"Where's Cole?" I asked.
"Him and Dana took Lina and Darcie to Universal Records," she informed me.
"I'll be back later," I kissed her forehead and walked out of our house.
I had to fix this.
Dana's POV:
* Wednesday, July 29, 2015, 4:37 p.m.*
"How much longer?" I groaned, feeding Nikko her bottle.
"They should be done soon," Cole looked at the time on his phone as soon as he rejected yet another call from Dalton.
"Do you plan on answering any of those or..?"
"Why should I?" he snapped.
"Just asking," I dropped it, not wanting him to get any angrier.
This was awkward.
As soon as that thought passed, Dalton walked into the building.
Great. Even more awkward.
"Well I'm going to go take a quick pee break," I rose from my seat.
"Sit," Cole barked.
"Okay," I smacked my lips together and sat back down.
"Hey, Dana. Could you give me and Cole a minute?" Dalton approached us.
I looked between the two of them and then back to Dalton.
"Uhm," I spoke with my voice a bit higher than usual because of my nerves. "I, I'm good right here."
Dalton sighed.
I knew he hated being put on the spot, and I'm sure Cole knew, too. I felt awful about all of this.
Now or never, I told myself.
"On second though me and Nikko are going to go wave at some of the fans outside," I quickly said and rushed away before Cole could stop me.
"Say hi, babe!" I waved Nikko's hand at the screaming fans outside at the front.
I was standing with Nikko behind one of the second floor windows, looking down at a big group of girls and some guys.
"Let's see how this goes," I said to her even though she couldn't really give a real response besides the few words she knew. "Yeah?"
"Yeah!" she said back.
"You're so smart! High five!" I put my hand out in front of her and she hit hers against it.
I smiled and rubbed my nose with hers before puckering my lips.
"Kiss for Daddy?"
She pecked my lips with hers and I could hear the fans' screams get louder.
I laughed. I had actually forgotten that they were there.

"Cole, you know I didn't invite them," I began.
Cole scoffed, crossing his arms over his chest and not looking at me.
"This isn't fair, I didn't do anything wrong this time! I take full responsibility for everything that happened prior to your party and I apologized for everything and you forgave me, too! I didn't mess up this time! I didn't invite them! It's not my fault this time!"
"Are you done?" he rolled his eyes.
"Don't be such a jerk, Cole!"
"What did you call me?" he turned his head and finally looked at me.
"That's what you're being! And you're not being fair to me!"
"I don't need to be! You screwed up, Dalton!" he rose his voice, earning a few stares from passers-by. "You put them before us! Your band! Your best friends! You tossed us aside when you didn't need us anymore! That's fucked up! You screwed up!"
"I know I did! And I'm sorry! I was being selfish and I didn't even put any thought into what I was doing! And I'm sorry! I won't do it again!"
"Whatever," he rolled his eyes and turned away again.
"Seriously?" I breathed, genuinely surprised by the way he was handling all of this.
He didn't answer.
"Cole," I tried but got nothing in response. "Cole!"
Still nothing.
"Cole, I'm sorry!" I felt a lump forming in my throat and I desperately tried to swallow it.
The only time I ever cried in front of someone is when I can't control it. That's only happened twice with Em and once with Cole.
I wasn't about to let a building full of people and a parking lot full of fans see.
"Cole?" I tried one last time. "You're my best friend. Please, Cole."
Nothing.
"I'm sorry."
Nothing.
I got up and left before I blew up again.
I can't do this anymore.
I can't.

"Dalton?" Kitty answered her phone sounding confused and tired.
I knew I must've woken her up.
It didn't matter though. They were leaving tomorrow and I needed to let them know what I was about to say as soon as possible.
I took in a deep breath.
"I'm in," I told her.
"What?" she was obviously taken aback by my words.
"The band. I'm in."
