Emilina's POV:

"What'd Dana say when you told him he had to watch Nikko?" Darcie asked as we sat in the familiar lobby of the Universal Records building.

"He freaked out," I laughed. "But he's got it under control."

"What about the feeding issue?" she rose a brow at me.

"I had to use a breast pump last night," I told her.

"Ew!" she wrinkled her nose. "What was that like?"

"It was so weird," I laughed again. "It was this like suction cup thing on my boob."

"I can imagine," she laughed along with me.

We got brought up to Mr. Grainge's office and we sat down on the chairs across from him.

"Good morning, girls," he smiled at us. "How have you been?"

"Well," I answered for the both of us. "And you?"

"I've been just fine, thank you for asking," he nodded. "So, let's just get right down to it. My friends liked your demo."

I grabbed Darcie's hand and squeezed it so that Mr. Grainge couldn't see our eagerness and think we were being unprofessional.

"So what does that mean?" Darcie managed to ask.

"It means that we discussed it for quite some time and we have decided that it would be a good idea to officially sign you to Universal Records," he laced his fingers together on his desk. "So what do you say, girls?"

"Of course!" I answered without a second thought.

"Great!" he smiled. "Now we do need to get some paperwork done, a few signatures from you and your parents-"

"Parents?" Darcie's face dropped.

"Well, yes," Mr. Grainge put the papers in front of us. "You both are minors."

"But only for another year," I told him. "Is there any way we could do this without our parents' signatures?"

"Unfortunately, since you are both still under the age of eighteen, you need a legal guardian to sign off for you."

"But I don't live with my parents," I told him. "What if I had my grandparents sign it for me?"

"Do they have custody over you?"

"No, but-"

"Legal guardian, girls," he interrupted.

Darcie and I looked at each other, unsure of how we were going to go about this.

"Is that going to be a problem?"

"We'll figure it out," I told him.

"What are we going to do?" Darcie asked while we walked out of the building.

"I don't know," I answered her honestly. "Do you think you could get your parents to sign it?"

"I'll try and talk to my mom, she's finally started talking to me," she informed me. "But I don't know if she'd do it behind my dad's back. What about you?"

"I have not a clue," I shook my head. "I'll talk to my Lolo and Lola and see what they think."
