25:
After a couple days I was almost completely back to normal with the exception of getting a little nauseous here and there. The medicine they gave me was truly a miracle worker and Tamiflu was my new favorite invention.
So since I was mostly recovered, today Angel and I were looking at a new apartment complex that would let us get units next to each other.
I was concerned about price because it was in a nicer area of town but Angel insisted that it wouldn't be too much as long as we bought the smaller units on the first or second floor. In the three floors above that the apartments got bigger and bigger. Since it would only be Austin and I living in ours we only really needed one bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen, and a living room anyways so I was fine with the smaller units and after viewing them they were very nice.
After walking through our identical apartments we walked down the road to a restaurant to talk about them.
"They're very nice, modern, and move in ready and it'll be easy to decorate them how ever we please since they're a blank canvas already. I say we sign because if we do it today we get a discount." Angel said encouragingly as she nibbled on a french fry.
"I know but I'd really like to know what the guys think of them before we make a move." I replied.
"We sent them photos and Austin already said they would be fine with us finding a place." She reasoned.
"He was talking to me about us. Have you even brought this up to Alan yet?" I asked.
"Pff, of course." She said with a shrug and an eye roll, telling me she was lying.
"I know you're excited but I have a husband and we're a team and I don't want to make this big of a decision without knowing he is happy with it." I said.
"Well how about we call them." She said defiantly, unlocking her phone and finding Alan's number.
"Hey baby." Alan answered after a couple rings.
"Hey sweetie." Angel said smiling then held the phone towards me.
"Hi Gingy." I said.
"Oh you're both there! What's up?" He asked.
"We're buying new apartments!" Angel said excitedly.
"Let me rephrase that. We're looking at two side by side apartments to buy for you guys and Austin and I but I insist that we can't do it until you guys weigh in. She wants to act now." I said.
"Because you strike when the time is right and we've got them on the hook!" She argued. I sighed,
"Is Austin there? I sent him pictures and both apartments are identical so you can see what yours will look like before your wife-girlfriend, whatever she is right now, buys it." I said.
"Um yeah, hold on." Alan said. There was some shuffling around then we could hear Alan telling Austin that we were on the phone and caught him up with our conversation.
"Hey guys!" Austin greeted happily. "I'm checking my phone right now, they look really nice. Do the back doors lead to a community porch or a balcony?" He asked curiously.
"We're looking at the second floor so they're balconies outside the French doors but they're pretty spacious so we could put a patio set and grill out there probably." I answered.
"Awesome." He replied. "What are the best parts about them?"
"The kitchen comes stalked already with new appliances and the kitchen is open concept into the living room so it looks and feels really big." I said because I wanted to start cooking again and knew I'd spend a lot of time in there so I knew the kitchen would be a big thing for me.
