Have you ever thought about the logic behind Pokemon? If you're like me, you may find it odd that there are so many Pokémon suddenly discovered but there are only originally 151 Pokemon. Now, we all know that it's just the developers behind Pokemon just coming up with new Pokémon to keep it fresh and interesting, but what if there's more meaning behind it?
What if the Pokémon series is completely reversed? The Pokémon are going extinct, and by each new generation (going backwards of course) is just more and more of the Pokémon going out of existence.
Think about it like this, trainers capture Pokémon and use them to battle. While it's true that some trainers do breed their Pokémon, not all of them do. Most trainers just capture them and use them for battle. If these Pokémon aren't out in the wild since they are being captured, that means they can't reproduce, and so the species of Pokémon eventually go extinct since there are not enough eggs.
This continues into eventually we're left with the original 151 Pokemon. It all goes back to the first episode where if you would play the episode backwards, it would be Ash giving up his best friend, which is why pikachu is so angry at Ash. He doesn't want him to leave, but Ash has so give up pikachu so that he can be out in the wild and be able to breed.
It actually seems like Pokemon would make more sense this way, instead of Pokémon just popping out of nowhere. It's kinda creepy if you think about it. Pokemon becoming extinct because humans capture them and use them for battles. It's just a theory I came up with and thought about for a while. Do you think this could be possible?
