Screech is a pretty typical Pokemon move. It's an annoying sound, but nothing too bad. That's what most Pokemon trainers at least thought. This included a trainer with an ekans that knew this move. When it learned it, its trainer didn't think anything strange about it since this was a normal life for an ekans to learn. That was until the Pokémon actually used the move.
Ekans let out a huge screech, instantly sending pain through the heads of the two trainers in battle and the butterfree that was in battle. The screech was so loud and so intense that all three were killed with intense brain damage that killed them instantly. Ekans no longer had a trainer, and so in began to wonder on its own as a wild Pokémon, waiting for any victim who dared to be around it.
Rumors spread about the screech, making both people and Pokémon fear any ekans more then they usually would. All Pokémon usually looked similar, so no one knew which ekans was the actual screeched before it was too late. Trainers wouldn't capture these Pokémon and would especially not use that move. Even with everyone being careful, the one ekans still wonders on as it waits for any other victim.
