Phantump is a cute little ghost type Pokemon. It looks innocent enough, however, it's pokedex entry proved differently. Phantump is a Pokémon that is literally made by children getting lost in the woods and their souls going into trees. When I read this, it really made me think.
You see, there's a remote forest in Japan that many people call "the suicide forest". Many people go into this forest to end there own lives. Look it up.
Phantump instantly reminded me of this, especially since Pokemon was created in Japan and this forest is in Japan.
I honestly think that phantump was inspired by this forest. What if those lost children committed suicide in the suicide forest, creating a phantump? I think this is very possible.
It's a very creepy thought, but Pokemon has done creepy things in the past. It wouldn't surprise me if this was true.
Many of the suicides are by hanging themselves in trees which point the evidence further to phantump. This is just a theory, but I think it's very possible. Do you?
