"We are made wise not by our recollection of the past but by the responsibility of our future" ~George Bernard Shaw

There is light at the end of every tunnel but the tunnel Alicia was trapped in seemed like an interminable pit of darkness. She had lived her life diligently, loving everyone she came across and hating none, so why did this happen to her of all people? Why did her life have to be reduced to one of pain and misery. She needed some time alone to clear her head, she needed to get away from all this madness. The father she'd grown to love was a gangster who only used his family as a cover up story for what he truly did behind the scenes. And as if that wasn't excruciating enough, he had to go on ahead and destroy the little trust she had left for him. Alicia decided there was nothing else left for her in Woodwave now that her killer, was behind bars.

Woodwave only reminded her of all the things she was never going to have—things she'd lost. She couldn't handle the pain anymore, so today after thoughtfully thinking, she decided to leave Woodwave and set out to a different life of peace and quietness. She was leaving. And she was never coming back.

Her hands tightly gripped the wheel of the car she was driving, she glanced at the trees and the neatly lined convenient stores, she knew she would missed it all; the permanent moist air which always smelled like Christmas and the woody scent of blossomed flowers which sprung up in glee. She nosed her car into a small space at the St Andrews parking lot. Today she'd made it her job to deliver flowers to people who mattered to her before she left on her journey. She looked at the bouquet of flowers lying beside her in the adjacent seat and smiled sadly. Out of the two bouquets she picked one. The beautiful white lilies, Mitchie's favorite.

She'd personally picked it out for her this morning because she felt accountable for Mitchie's present state. Her memories were now intact and even though most them were of horrible past experiences, she treasured every minute she'd spent with Mitchie. And she thought she owed it to her for having flirted with Jesse. If she knew Mitchie was dating Jesse she seriously wouldn't have even walked closer to him. She remembered how Jesse used to freak her out when she was alive, she countlessly warned Mitchie to stay away from the scary pretty boy, but Mitchie was always so hot headed and thick skulled. Now they were both in this state because of the pretty boy turned psycho, Jesse Mclurkin. She walked out of the car and slammed the door shut.

Alicia arrived at Mitchie's ward in few minutes. She couldn't bring herself to enter, so she stood there and looked through the burnished translucent door. She saw Mitchie's mum tucking her into bed. Smiling sadly to herself, she lifted the flowers she held to her chest. "Are you here to see someone?" she turned to see a nurse in a green scrub uniform looking at her questioningly.

"No I just came to deliver some flowers. Please give this to the Mitchie Graham when she wakes up." she said, thrusting the bouquet into the Nurse's hands. Alicia quickly turned to leave, lowering her watery eyes from the agog look the nurse was giving her. She hightailed out of the hospital and entered her car, blinded by tears. She'd never thought saying goodbye would be this difficult, she hadn't even felt the slightest of the sour emotions she was feeling, the day she was buried. She hesitantly pulled her car out of the lot.

Thanking her stars for been rid of Phililipe and finally been a free woman, she drove past beautiful sturdy Marple trees and oak trees, inhaling the earthy sent of the serene green forestry which carried with it, crisps of unseen mysteries. She slowed the car down when she got to the house of the Peppermans. She wondered how her mum was coping after her father's arrest. Alicia's heart ached not only for her mum but for Courtney as well. She knew they were going to be alright but she had to be certain before she headed for her next stop. She carefully looked through the closed window of her black porsche, gazing her eyes on the house in wait for any movement. A little girl, she recognized as Kristen, rushed out with a big smile. Alicia's face instantly mirrored her smile. In Kristen's hands was a huge teddy bear, and a red ball headed lollipop. Alicia chuckled when she realized Kristen was missing a tooth. She missed the days when she used to scold Kristen to put a stop her rapid intake of sugar. Of course the little girl had shrugged it off, no one could blame her for having a sweet tooth.
