I can't believe it's over

I watched the whole thing fall
And I never saw the writing that was on the wall
If I'd only knew
The days were slipping past
That the good things never last
That you were crying

Summer turned to winter
And the snow it turned to rain
And the rain turned into tears upon your face
I hardly recognized the girl you are today
And, God, I hope it's not too late
Hmmm... It's not too late
'Cause you are not alone

Zachary Dunst flipped through the pages of his chemistry textbook clearly disinterested with whatever the hell Mr Sigmund, his chemistry tutor, was teaching. Prior to the latest developments he had never being a fun of school. He allowed his thoughts to solely consume him as he absently looked at the clock which hanged on the wall above the large white board. One thing he could never understand was why the clock was hanged there. It was obvious no one was paying attention to Mr Sigmund since they were all currently hypnotized by the clock, praying silently for time to move faster. He frowned when his head made contact with a paper ball Marlon had thrown his way. He reluctantly picked it up and read what Marlon had written.

'That brunette is freaking hot can't wait to tap that!'

Zach rolled his eyes at the crumpled paper and tossed it into his backpack. Thinking to himself how immature Marlon was. The bell rang, signalling an end to the rather boring lecture. "Finally." He murmured, quickly exiting the class. He ignored the goo goo eyes girls threw his way and sauntered into the cafeteria. The only objective he had on his mind now was finding Mitchie.

"Hey dude! Wait up!" Marlon shouted.

Zach turned to face him, "Hey." He responded absentmindedly, carefully looking through the crowded cafeteria.

"Is there anything you are not telling me?" Marlon asked skeptically.

"What makes you think I'm hiding something from you?"

"Dude, we've being best friends for God knows how long! It's my duty to know without being told when something is wrong."

"Chill Marl, I'm not hiding anything."

"Then do you care to explain why you ditched school for a week? I find that very strange. If you don't want to tell me about what you are going through, I'm cool. I only want you to get your shit straight and start been the Zach I've always known."

" I'm sorry if I've been distant lately. I can't talk right now, I promise I'll let you know when I'm less stressed out." Zach said, rubbing his temple.

He said a silent prayer when he saw Mitchie standing at the center of the cafeteria holding a tray filled with food, probably looking for a place to sit. "Hey gotta run I'll meet you at the basketball court later." He said as he steadily walked to were Mitchie was standing.

"You better show up early!" Marlon called after him.

He muttered a curse when his eye made contact with Celeste. He saw her whisper something to a girl- probably from one of her groupies, and excitedly walked towards him.

He turned his attention to Mitchie and watched in slow paced horror as Celeste bumped into her. Mitchie jerked forward, falling flat on her face.

^^

Mitchie sighed with dismay as she looked at her previously white shirt, now wearing her lunch. Her stomach grumbled in protest.

"You did this on purpose didn't you?" She shouted furiously.
