chapter 18

Aki walked around an unfamiliar home, she say a small baby in a crib "he's beautiful isn't he?" A familiar voice purrs, Aki looked to her side, she saw Gaara next to her and smiled.

"He really is." Aki cooed. Gaara grabbed Aki's hand  his hand was warm. Aki blushed and set her head on his shoulder. Gaara smiled brightly and looked at the baby.

Aki woke up and looked out the window, Naruto walked in the room and yawned "good morning Aki" he groaned.

Aki looked towards him and smiled "good morning sun-head" she said as she got up and walked towards him. "I can't wait to see Gaara again" she smiled.

"That's good" Naruto smiled sleepily. "We should go train for the chunin exams." Naruto yawned.

"Well yeah but we need breakfast first." Aki smiled, winking at Naruto.

Naruto blinked and started chuckling. "To ichirakus!" He smiled, the two ran out the front door laughed, Aki jumped down the railing as Naruto slid down the railing on the stairs. They ran to ichirakus and hopped on the seats.

"One Miso ramen please!" The two said in unison. Ichiraku smiled and made the ramen, setting it down Infront of the two, they ate it very fast, and payed, they hopped down and ran out, Aki bumped into somebody, she looked up and saw a tall boy with white hair and freckles.

"Oh I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going, forgive me please." Aki fumbled. The boy simply nodded and Aki ran past to the training grounds.

------timeskip to after training-------

Aki and Naruto were huffing and puffing, Naruto chuckled and Aki smiled, "you got me with that star haha" Aki said rubbing the spot on her tunic. "I've been needing to get something new so it's fine haha" Aki chuckled.

"Well I think we're all set for the chunin exams." Naruto smiled.

Aki put on black shorts with blue stripes, and a teal shirt with a blue short sleeve jacket. Aki ran out of her house and smiled.

Aki went up to Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura there was konahamaru and his friends too. "Hey Aki" Sakura smiled.

"Oh hey Aki" Naruto smiled, Sasuke didn't say anything.

"Hey guys." Aki smiled, the group went back to what ever they were doing for a few minutes.

"No the one with the gourd." Sasuke spoke. Aki turned her head to see Gaara walking away, she smiled.

"Gaara of the desert." Gaara spoke emotionless. "I am also interested in you."

"Uchiha Sasuke." Sasuke said flatly.

"Wait isn't anybody going to ask about me?!" Naruto screeched.

"Shut up dope." Sasuke said. Aki smiled and waved, she trotted over to Gaara.

"What is she doing?" Sakura asked. Sasuke shrugged and Naruto smiled.

"They're friends, and I think Aki has a crush on him." Naruto smiled.

Aki looked at Gaara "hey Gaara, I missed you a bit" Aki smiled.

"I missed you too." Gaara spoke. Aki held up her hand. Gaara tilted his head.

"High five me, come on!" Aki smiled, Gaara hesitantly high fived her. Aki chuckled and ran back. "Good luck on the test!" She cheered running back to the group.
