chapter 21

Aki looked at Gaara, he fell asleep due to his comfortable position, Aki knew he had vivid nightmares so when he woke up she wanted him to be as comfortable as possible. Aki set a blanket onto his small body and she carefully slipped a pillow under his head, she sat next to him and held his soft, cold, pale hand.

Aki's mom walked into the room. "Aki, I think you're ready to learn the families most powerful jutsus   tomorrow, but first you need to rest." She spoke calmly. Aki's eyes gleamed.

Aki laid her head on Gaaras shoulder and still held his hand, she looked towards him and kissed his cheek then she fell asleep.

Gaaras Dream

A gargantuan wolf stood Infront of me, it bowed it's head and looked towards me with its yellow pupils and black where white was supposed to be, it's four large tails lifted up, one having fire around it, another having water surrounding it. The two other tails had stone and lightning. I stepped back and gulped, it was one of the legendary beast canines, it gave Gaara a good sniff, it relaxed and laid down and closed its eyes. "Gaara of the Desert was it? Yes I believe it was." The beast said calmly. It opened its eyes and smiled softly. "Do me a great favour, never hurt my host, Aki, or else...I'll snap your thin neck with my jaws" the large dog spoke. Gaara nodded and put his hand on his heart.

"I won't and will never hurt Aki" Gaara said, nodding. The beast smiled.

"You better." The beast snapped.

Gaara opened his eyes to see Aki sleeping on his shoulder and her hand entwined with his, he smirked lightly and clutched her hand, she fluttered her eyes open and she smiled. "Gaara...my neeecck aches" she groaned. Gaara smirked and placed her next to him on the small chair, the two melted together and fell asleep.

Aki woke up and noticed Gaara was still sleeping, Aki smiled and touched his soft red hair. Gaara opened his eyes to reveal his beautiful sea-green eyes. "Good morning Pretty boy" Aki groaned.

"Don't call me that." Gaara moaned. Aki snickered and got out of the chair. Aki went to the kitchen and poured a glass of milk. Aki's mom came into the room.

"Hey sweetie, Ready for training?"  She asked, Aki nodded eagerly. Gaara raised an nonexistent eyebrow.

"Oh, Gaara! I'm going to learn the families most powerful jutsus!" Aki chimed, Gaara nodded and got up. He wore baggy clothes that Aki took from her closet and gave to him as sleepwear. The short scarlet-haired boy rubbed his eyes and yawned.

"That's nice." Gaara grumbled, Gaara walked into the kitchen and took a sip of Aki's milk, Aki looked at him.

"Gaara I could have poured you some." She spoke, Gaara shrugged. Aki wiped off the milk from his upper lip with her Sleeve. "Are you going with us" Aki asked.

"Sure I'll go" Gaara spoke. Aki's mom went into her room and grabbed a bunch of scrolls and stuffed them into her bag and came out.

"Got the stuff guys! Gaara you can learn some too if you want!" Aki's mom said happily. Gaara shook his head. "Well okay, just go get dressed guys!"

The two got dressed into their normal outfits, Aki in her red tunic with teal shorts and her head band wrapped around her waist, Gaara in his black outfit and his gourd on his back. "Let's go!" Aki's mom cheered. They began to head to the training grounds.
