The night sky above him was absolutely radiant.  He was savoring the spare moment he had between assignments to enjoy the sight of the universe unfolding in front of him.  He pushed his red and black hair out of his eyes, he didn't want anything obscuring this view.

"Kagami-kun."

Kagami turned to see his blue haired friend standing next to him.  They were both angels of the same rank and were often sent on missions together.  He smiled at his friend, his presence there more than likely meant that his time to enjoy Heaven's starlight was over.  Still, he said to his friend, "Isn't it beautiful, Kuroko?"

Kuroko stared up at the taller angel, with blue, unblinking eyes, "What is?"

"Heaven's sky," Kagami gestured at the view in front of them.  They were in an open space, nothing beneath them, they were just hovering there.  This was one of Kagami's favorite spots to come and relax.  Usually Kuroko wouldn't join him, Kuroko never saw the beauty in the universe, and if he did, he certainly hid it well.

Kuroko looked out at the view Kagami was pointing to with the same flat expression.  "Yes.  It's lovely."  His monotone voice gave away his apathy and Kagami knew that Kuroko was just humoring him.  Kuroko's gaze shifted back to Kagami, "Riko-san has summoned you."  Most angels were like Kuroko, not many were like Kagami and saw the beauty in the world around them. Kagami always wondered if it was that most angels just didn't take the time to notice the world around them.

Kagami nodded.  There was no avoiding the summoning.  Riko was their direct superior.  Of course there were angels that were higher rank than her, but she was the one that Kagami and Kuroko reported to.  If Riko was summoning him, then she had an assignment for him.

Kagami looked out at the starry sky one last time.  "Alright, let's go."

Without another word, Kagami and Kuroko disappeared from the tranquil spot, traveling space and time to the moment Riko was in.

Riko smiled when she saw the pair appear before her.  It was a source of good fortune for her that her delegates were obedient and forthcoming.  She spoke to Kuroko, "Thank you Kuroko.  I'd like to speak to Kagami alone."

Kuroko nodded and was gone the next moment, leaving Kagami and Riko alone.  Kagami had to wonder what was so important that she wanted to speak to him privately.  Kagami looked down at his superior in front of him.  "Yes Riko-san?"

Riko smiled, "I have a special assignment for you."
