Fear of Falling (Complete)

He and Aomine were once again alone in the clearing by the cave.  They were laying in the grass under the night sky.  This was the only spot Aomine would come back to and Kagami had to admit that he liked it here too.  It was dark and the stars were lighting up the midnight sky.  This place reminded Kagami of his favorite spot in heaven.  It truly was beautiful.

"Why are you smiling?"  Kagami could feel Aomine's eyes on him as the bluenette asked his question.

Kagami hadn't even realized that he was smiling.  He shrugged a little, pressing his head into the grass and smiling at the stars.  "This place, it's just so beautiful.  I think I'm... feeling something."

Aomine propped himself up on one elbow, looking down at Kagami, "Really?"

Kagami nodded, "The stars have often brought me peace, but right now it's more than that, I feel... brighter..."

Aomine kept looking into Kagami's face, smiling with one side of his face, "That's called feeling happy."

"Happy..."  Kagami thought over the word and thought of it with what he felt.  It just felt like the word fit.  He looked up at Aomine, smiling wide, "I like feeling happy."

Aomine chuckled, "We all do, it's a great feeling."

Kagami tried to read the smile on Aomine's face, it wasn't his typical smirk, it felt like more of a... happy... smile, but there was something else behind it that Kagami wasn't quite sure what it was.

Aomine reached down, his eyes and Kagami's were locked as his fingers grazed against Kagami's cheek.  He gently pushed some of Kagami's hair out of his face and behind his ear.

Kagami felt something between them in that moment, but it was another emotion he couldn't put a word to yet.  He liked it though.  He felt that logically, he should push Aomine's hand away, but he liked the gentle touch from the bluenette's warm hand.
