He was back in heaven. Specifically, he was in Riko's office. He wasn't exactly sure when he got here, he figured Riko got tired of waiting and pulled him back to heaven. He looked at Riko, who was sitting at the desk before him. She was just looking back at him, not saying a word.
"Riko-san," Kagami felt like he had to say something, make it less awkward.
"What is taking so long for your report?" She narrowed her eyes at folding her hands, "Haven't you found him?"
Kagami didn't want to lie, but with such a direct question, how could he keep Aomine a secret. "I found him, but he can be evasive."
Riko clicked her tongue, "Don't let him get away. When you find him bring him here."
Kagami bit his lip, he knew he shouldn't ask, it wasn't his place, but he didn't want to do something that would get Aomine hurt. He wanted to know more about the world and Aomine seemed like the one who would show him. Kagami swallowed, asking bravely, "Why?"
Riko raised her eyebrows. This certainly was one of very few times when Kagami acted in slight defiance. "Do not question me. You know what you need to carry out your orders, so go."
The scene was suddenly changed for Kagami and he was once again sitting in the cave with Aomine. From the looks of it, Aomine hadn't even noticed his absence, it must've looked as if he'd never left. Kagami leaned his head back against the cave wall. With the way Riko pushed him back here so suddenly, he had to wonder if she knew what was actually going on or if she was just following someone else's orders.
