Kagami looked around, he seemed to be alone. He didn't feel any headache or other inexplicable pain. That was a good sign. He took a step, walking around the clearing, careful not to go through it in case someone was watching. He made his way to the cave on the other side and this time he could go right up to it with no problems. Had he imagined what happened before? Impossible.
The cave was empty, well there were no people or animals. But there were remains of a fire that had died out and sets of footprints going in and out of the cave. Was this where the human was living? Kagami felt the pang of a headache start in the back of his skull. What was wrong?
Kagami heard footsteps, someone was coming. He knew he should just change scenes to go somewhere else, but he didn't want to. If this was Aomine, he needed to talk to him. The footsteps were getting closer and Kagami's headache was only getting stronger. But for some reason, the sensation wasn't nearly was bad as when he was here moments ago.
Sure enough, the tanned man with blue eyes and blue hair was at the entrance of the cave. He narrowed his eyes at Kagami, "I thought I told you to leave."
Kagami shut his eyes for a moment, the pain in his head being almost unbearable, but he wasn't going to collapse this time, he would make sure of that. He forced himself to speak through grit teeth, "I need to speak with you."
"No," his response was immediate, "You've come to kill me."
Kagami instantly blinked opened his eyes at the human's words. "I would never kill a human."
The man shook his head, "You're not the first person to come here and if you don't do it they'll send someone else."
"So you are Aomine Daiki?" Kagami was able to push away the pain from the headache and just focus on the human's words.
"Of course." He rolled his eyes, walking into the cave and closer to Kagami.
Kagami's headache only intensified with Aomine closer like that. He brought his hand up to his head, gritting his teeth. "Why do you being so close hurt?"
"Because you're pure." Aomine let out a laugh in disbelief. "None of the others had it this bad. I didn't think I'd ever see another angel so pure of character."
Kagami looked sideways at him, "Y-you know about angels?"
"Of course," Aomine smiled, "It hurts because you're so pure that my impurity has a physical effect on you."
"Y-you're impurity?" Kagami understood what he was saying, but the concept was entirely new to him. Purity and impurity having an effect like this, Riko nor any other angel had ever told him about this.
Aomine nodded, "I'm an angel that has fallen."
