Fear of Falling (Complete)

Kagami stood, looking around at the stars around him. He had no idea how he'd gotten here. He had just been talking to that human, what happened? He didn't understand how the touch of a human could harm him so much. No other human could affect an angel in such a way.

Now that he seemed to be able to use his powers again, he decided to change his scene to find Riko. She had to know why this happened. As soon as he appeared in front of her in that white washed office, she was frowning. Or was she already frowning? All he knew was that she didn't look at all happy.

"Kagami!" She stood up glaring at him. Now it was obvious to him that he was the reason that she was angry. "What are you doing back here?"

Kagami was a bit taken aback and felt the need to profusely apologize, "I don't know... I was investigating Aomine, followed him to where he should've been in Mount Fuji, then I met this human and I just found myself back here."

"You shouldn't have left your mission." Riko's voice was icy cold.

Kagami gulped, he didn't want to contradict her, but he wasn't back in heaven because he consciously chose to be. "I didn't mean to come back here. The human touched me, I couldn't do anything and then I opened my eyes and I was here."

Riko let out a short breath, pursing her lips a little, "That must be the human we are looking for. Now go back to him."

Kagami wasn't ready to go back, he still had questions, "But, Riko-san..."

"Now." Riko commanded and then Kagami was changed out of her scene back to his quiet spot in heaven.

He knew that there was definitely more than what she was telling him. How did she know that the human he encountered was Aomine? She wasn't telling him everything he needed to know and it was frustrating. He knew he had to go back, if he didn't Riko would find him here and that would be far worse than anything he'd encounter among the humans. He let out a breath, changing his scene to be as close to that clearing with the cave again as he could. If he couldn't get answers from Riko, maybe he could from Aomine. If that really was Aomine.
