Milly stood there, everyone stood there, looking at Sans. Sans raised her finger to say something, but before she got to she fell back and fainted. Everyone panicked and with a combined effort managed to carry her into the house. They put a blanket and pillow on the floor to lay her down on because they were not about to carry her up the stairs to the bedroom. Her forehead was scorching.
They put some ice on it and surrounded her. "That, that was amazing, but how did she manage to activate her majik?" Asked Milly to herself. She looked at the axe, still in Sans's grip and wondered. "Could there be a soul in there?" She thought out loud.
"SOUL?!?" Exclaimed Isa.
"Yes. It might be a soul weapon, which means that a unrested soul inhabits it. The weapon can communicate with its owner and ask it to put it to rest, which usually means someone murdered them, and they want even. Only question is if there is a soul in that axe, how come when I touched it it never attempted to communicate with me?" Pondered Milly. "Anyways, we'll ask her when she wakes up, but meanwhile we've got to prepare for you guys to leave, it's not safe here!" Said Milly, summoning three large backpacks out of her hand.
"Wait, why?" Asked Erza. Milly sighed.
"That tree monster, they don't live in these parts, and they thrive in places with large amounts of dark magic. It wouldn't be here unless someone sent it, and I think you all know who that is, the demon king. He must have sensed Sans's presence and started to age again. He won't stop till your dead. You guys have to hide." Said Milly, putting multiple things in the bag. Suddenly Sans sat up, eyes wide.
"She's awake!" Cried Isa. At that moment, Sans fell back again. "And she's asleep again." Sighed Isa.
"I'll let you stay tonight in sleeping bags on my bedroom floor, but tomorrow, for your own good, you need to go, I'll pack you a tent and enough provisions to last you at least a month. I've also packed you a book on different plants and which are edible, and a book on animals and monsters." Said Milly, still stuffing the bags. Inside the axe dimension Sans and her mom were sitting across from each other in silence. Suddenly, Niki spoke.
"Your friends need you," said Niki. The world around her slowly dissipated. Sans slowly opened her eyes. She groaned and rubbed her head. Everyone rushed towards her and bombarded her with questions which she didn't answer. She put a finger up to silence everyone.
"I'm hungry." She said. "Oh right, come up and I'll get you all dinner. Everyone climbed the stairs to the fourth floor of the house. In it was a table with a single chair, a counter top and stove with cabinets, and lastly a huge white machine.
"Introducing the Pancake-maker 2000, I am not good at making names!" Exclaimed Milly, awkwardly. She walked over to the machine, muttering about never having company. "First, you put in all the ingredients that you want in your pancake." Said Milly as she put in eggs, flour, water, sugar, butter, and chocolate chips. "Then you press this button." Said Milly as she pressed the button and heard the machine rumble to life. "And done!" Said Milly as a pile of pancakes came out the other side of the machine.
"So the only thing this machine can make is pancakes?" Said Erza as she inspected the cabinets, wondering how Milly managed to stay so thin, but only found more pancake ingredients.
"Er, yeah. I like pancakes." Said Milly blushing.
"THATS SO COOL! DO YOU HAVE MAPLE SYRUP!" Screamed Sans.
"Oh, but I have more than just maple syrup." Said Milly as she whipped open another cabinet. "I have maple syrup, strawberry syrup, blue berry syrup, chocolate syrup, and so much more!" Exclaimed Milly. Sans's mouth watered, as the other two just looked weirded out. Milly grabbed three extra chairs and plopped down the plate of pancakes. Sans summoned a bone, speared five pancakes, and put them on her plate.
"Bone appetite!" Said Sans with a stupid grin. Everyone groaned and ate their pancakes while Sans made an abomination syrup made of a mix of strawberry, blueberry, maple, and chocolate syrup. After a while, Milly got the nerve to ask.
"So, how did you activate your powers?" Asked Milly, followed by silence. "Pure determination." said Sans with a mouth full of pancakes to hide her lies.
"Did the axe, er, talk to you?" Asked Milly.
"Nooo..." Replied Sans. They all finished their pancakes in silence, went upstairs, got in their sleeping bags, and stayed up late telling stories to each other about Majikku and earth. Milly seemed fascinated about earth, but the three girls even more so about Majikku. Eventually, everyone slowly drifted off to sleep, except Sans. She stayed awake, looking up into nothing, at least, nothing in other's eyes. In her eyes, on the other hand, she saw the lady, floating above her, almost translucent. They stared at each other for a long time until Sans yawned. "Good night." Said Niki. "G'night, mom." Replied Sans.
