As you may have guessed, the demon king didn't take kindly to having his soldier converted to their side, and so easily at that. He knew it was a bad idea to let her brother continue seeing her. He could've stopped it, but now it's to late. After the news got around, it was hard to find another assassin, now that everyone knew who exactly they were up against. Killing them is one thing, a simple task really, but capturing them alive is another thing altogether. It would take someone either extremely brave, or stupid.

After about an hour of thinking about how to take them down, he remembered. An old "weapon", per se, back fired and instead became a curse, but it might be just what he needs. He stood up from his throne and walked towards his room. Half of it was surrounded by windows with a gorgeous view of the kingdom, but those were draped in red curtains. The floor was made of black marble and walls were covered in an ugly wall paper that had a black pattern with a red background. He had a large bed with a canopy covered in vermillion sheets.

He headed towards a big photo that covered one end of the room almost entirely. It was a portrait of him, smiling, and two other people. One was a baby that had a single white tuft of hair and was sleeping in a woman's arms. The woman had golden blonde hair. Her eyes were closed and her smile glowed. Two golden horns perturbed from her forehead.

She wore a beautiful dress as yellow as the sunflower. The demon king looked at her affectionately in the portrait. It was a family picture. He went up to it and pulled on it, revealing a thick iron door behind it. He input a code and opened the door.

"This is for you." He said under his breath and walked into the dark room behind it. It was a huge lab, previously full of amazing experiments, but now a shadow of its former glory. It was now dimly lit, bottles broken and all sorts of chemicals all over the place. There were several pods lining the wall, the only brand new thing in the lab. One was broken and there was a liquid flowing out of it. Suddenly from behind him, he heard a loud screech.

He turned around and there was a creature covered in a slimy black substance. It was clawing a its face and crying out more black slime, except he had no eyes, only several mouths. He used his other hand and pulled that hand away from its face, but it was no use. The hand escaped and slashed at its own neck, killing itself. The demon king looked at it without even batting an eye. He headed to the end of the room where there were shelves of shelves of broken bottles.

Out of the few that were intact, he pulled out a vial full of a bubbly, black liquid that seemed to be trying to escape. He left the room and went back to his throne room, then his balcony. He looked at the bottle and reached for the cap. As his hand reached for the cork, he hesitated. He breathed in and pulled it off as if ripping off a bandage. The black liquid went for him, but he put up his hand and whispered to it.

It then backed away and zoomed off into the world

"It's easier to catch an animal when it's gone wild." He whispered and smiled at himself.
