A/N: Another upload and another day in hospital. Got some news today. My doctors said I may only have a few months left but if I keep on top of my medication as well as the chemo I may survive. Thank you for all of your love and support. I wish I could just hug you guys.

"Eight..." a burst of giggling and a crash to his left.

"Nine..." scurrying and the slamming of a door to his right.

"Ten." complete and utter silence.

Jughead wasn't usually the type of person that would let someone else win a game. He was usually the "destroy with no mercy" type of competitor. But today, he was making an exception. Even though he was completely positive that Xander was behind the sofa, Xena was underneath the kitchen sink, and Veronica was in their bed, underneath the fresh pile of sheets and blankets that he had just taken out of the dryer, he wasn't going to give all that away just to win. He was a father now, and fathers make sure their kids have fun. So here he went.

"Ready or not, here I come."

Jughead uncovered his eyes with a sly grin. Where to begin? He darted to the living room, where he knew Xander was curled up behind the couch.

"Hmm...I wonder if somebody is underneath the coffee table?" Jughead wondered out loud. He got down on his hands and knees, peering underneath the table. "Well, that's odd. I was almost positive there would be somebody under here!"

There was a loud giggle from behind the couch. Jughead chose to ignore it, smirking slightly.

"How about behind mommy's armchair?" Jughead thought out loud, standing up and pacing behind Veronica's oversized armchair. There was another giggle, this one even louder than the one before. "What was that? Did I hear something?"

Jughead crept closer and closer to the couch, the giggles increasing in volume the closer he got. He smiled to himself lightly, and jumped behind the couch, scooping up a squealing Xander and raising him up above his head.

"I found you!"

"Daddy! Daddy, Daddy, no! Put me down!" Xander laughed as Jughead began spinning him around.

"Fine, fine." Jughead laughed, tossing Xander on the couch with a smirk. "But now you have to help Daddy search for Xena and Mommy, okay?"

"I KNOW WHERE TWINNY IS!"

Xander tottered over to the kitchen near where Xena was hiding. Jughead just laughed as he fixed the couch cushions and followed Xander a few paces behind.

"Xena, Xena! I found you!" Xander cried, whipping the cabinet below the sink open, revealing a very angry Xena.

"Daddy! That's so unfair! Xander saw me hide!"

Jughead chuckled to himself. He knew this was going to happen.

"We'll play gain and I'll make sure your twin doesn't find you, Princess. In the meantime, why don't you get out from underneath the sink and help me find your mommy?"

"Oh, no, Daddy!" Xena said, crawling out from underneath the sink and grabbing her twin brother's wrist with a mischievous grin. "Xander and I aren't helping you. Mommy told us we weren't allowed to help."

"Oh, really?" Jughead raised an eyebrow. "Alright then..."

Jughead wandered into his and Veronica's master bedroom slowly, Xena and Xander giggled at his heels.

"Hey, Ronnie, are you in here?" Silence. Jughead went over to the bed slowly, ripping off the sheets with an over dramatic swoosh, only to reveal an empty bed. Strange. I was positive Ronnie would be here. Xena and Xander erupted in yet another fit of giggles.

Jughead proceeded to turn his bedroom upside down searching for Veronica. No Ronnie underneath the bed, no Ronnie behind the dresser, no Ronnie inside of the closet...The more places Jughead looked, the louder the laughter of his children grew.

"What's going on, guys?"

"Nuffin..." Xena managed between snickers. Jughead was now very confused.

With a newfound sense of confusion, Jughead cautiously made his way out of his bedroom and into the hallway, only to be greeted with...

"Boo!" tiny arms clasped Jughead's sides, holding him in place.

"Holy shit!" Jughead squeaked, violently thrashing around to rid himself of Veronica's sudden grasp. "Fu-...dge, Ronnie! What the hell was that for?"

"God, Jug! Calm down. It's just me. And watch your language, the kids are behind you." Veronica ruffled Jughead's hair and attempted to calm down Jughead's breathing as Xander and Xena were literally rolling on the floor consumed in a hysterical fit of giggles.

"That was not funny, Ronnie. I am so not amused." Jughead said, but he couldn't hide his smile.

"Mommy scared Daddy!" Xander cried, rolling practically on top of Xena on the floor of Jughead and Veronica's bedroom.

"Yes she did, and if she values her life, your Mommy won't do it again." Jughead glared at Veronica pointedly.

"You have to admit it was kind of funny. I was following you around the whole time you were looking for the twins and you din't even notice." Veronica's face was red with laughter as she let her husband go from her firm grasp.

"You-..." Jughead sighed. "You're insane."

"Thank you." Veronica stuck out her tongue at Jughead and managed to wink at her son and daughter with a smirk on her face. "Now I do believe it is my turn to be it. I'm going to count to ten, now, guys. You better hide!"

Immediately, Veronica heard two panicked squeaks coming from Xena and Xander, followed by a scurrying of feet and some obvious slamming of closet doors.

"Revenge is sweet, babe." An icy voice whispered in Veronica's ear before Jughead snuck off silently, and disappeared where he could never be seen...Veronica laughed under her breath, counted to ten and opened her eyes.

"Ready or not, here I come..."
