"Good morning." Jughead whispered into Archie's ear, "Get up!"

"Mehhh." Archie groaned in reply, putting a pillow over his face, "I don't wanna get up. It's too early, Jug."

"Archie, it's eight thirty! Come on, today's your big audition!" When Archie didn't answer, Jughead pulled up the pillow, gave Archie a quick kiss on the cheek, then hopped out of bed to make breakfast.

He'd just finished mixing the pancake batter when he heard a call from down the hall.

"Daddy!" Wiping his hands on a dish towel, Jughead walked quickly down the hall and poked his head into Nash's room. He was sitting up in his bed, smiling, with his arms outstretched. He'd gotten Betty(Who had agreed to be Archie and Jughead's surrogate)'s blonde hair and tiny frame, and his smile could and would melt anyone's heart.

"Daddy!" Nash said again. Jughead went over and pulled him up out of his bed, and he wrapped his arms around Jughead's neck with surprising strength for a four year old. When he's first begun to talk, he'd referred to Archie as 'dad' and Jughead as 'daddy' and it had stuck.

"Good morning little man! Wanna help Daddy make some waffles?" Jughead cooed. Nash nodded vigorously, so Jughead carried him up to the kitchen.

Soon the waffles were done. Jughead looked down at his adorable son.

"Ready to go wake dad up?" He asked.

"Can we tackle him?" Nash wanted to know.

"Of course!" Jughead answered, scooping him into his arms. He ran down the hall with Nash giggling loudly the whole way. Upon reaching the bedroom, he plopped him down on the bed, then fell onto it himself.

Nash ripped the pillow off of Archie's face and covered his face in kisses. Then he jumped on top of him and sat on his stomach. Archie opened his eyes and smiled up at his son.

"Get up!" He giggled. Archie rolled over onto his side, pulling Nash to his chest. He wiggled out of his grasp. "Get up! Daddy made pancakes!"

"With blueberries?" Archie asked.

"With blueberries!" Nash squealed, tugging on his arm.

"Alright. Come on you!" Archie rolled out of bed, pulling Nash with him. Jughead got up too, and together they made their way up to the kitchen.

When everyone had finished breakfast, Jughead took Nash to his room to help him get dressed, while Archie went to take a shower and prepare for his audition. He was trying out for Jack 'Cowboy' Kelly in a new run of Newsies. Auditioning was nothing new to Archie, but he always got extremely nervous.

He was standing in front of the mirror, giving his outfit and hair a last check when Jughead came in.

"How are you feeling?" Jughead asked, standing behind Archie and wrapping his arms around him.

"Nervous." Archie sighed. Jughead nodded. "You're gonna be great. You always are." Archie smiled. "I have no doubt you will get that part, Archibald Andrews-Jones."

"I sure hope so." Archie turned around, wrapping his arms around Jughead's neck and pulling him close so that their foreheads were touching. "I love you." He whispered.

"I love you too." Jughead whispered back.

"All these years," Archie murmured, "And you still take my breath away."

"I should hope so." Jughead laughed, pulling Archie into a kiss. When they pulled apart, Jughead asked, "Are you sure you don't want me and Nash to drive you down there?"

"Yeah. It's easier if I go by myself." Archie replied, "Gives me time to clear my head and focus." He grabbed his sheet music and bag, sliding the sheet music into the outer pocket.

"I'm gonna go say bye to Nash." He walked across the hall, with Jughead close behind. Nash was sitting on his bed, looking at a picture book Betty had given him.

"Bye Nash!" Archie said giving him a hug.

"Where are you going?" He asked, looking up at him with his big, brown eyes.

"I'm trying out for a show." He told him.

"Oh. Good luck!" He said brightly.

"Thank you, little man." He kissed his forehead and left the room.

"Break a leg!" Jughead smiled, giving Archie a hug.

"Thanks!" Archie gave him a quick kiss, then was out the door.

That night, Archie and Jughead were lying in bed with Jughead as the big spoon. He had his arm curled over Archie's chest, holding him close. Suddenly they heard an urgent cry from across the hall.

"Dad! Daddy!" They both jumped out of bed, and ran across the hall to Nash's room. Jughead flicked on the light, and they hurried over to the bed and saw that he was crying.

"Nash, what's wrong?" Archie asked, stroking his hair.

"I-I had a sc-sc-scary dre-dream." Nash whimpered.

"Oh, baby. It's okay." Jughead sat down on the bed, and pulled him between himself and Archie. "Do you wanna come sleep in our bed with us?" Nash nodded, burying his face in Archie's shoulder. He picked him up and carried him across the hall. Jughead scooped up his teddy bear and followed them out of the room, switching the light off behind him.

The three Andrews-Jones snuggled into the big bed together, and, holding each other, soon fell asleep.
