~Casey's POV~
I wake up, trying to remember where I am. I look around and see a room. I had noticed that I was in the hospital. There was a nurse standing next to me. She was smiling and she put a tray of food on the table next to my bed. My head is pounding and I feel really tired.
"How are you feeling Casey?" I look up at the nurse. She was very pretty and she had dark curly hair.
"Um, my head hurts." I tried to say it as clearly as possible but I couldn't find my voice.
"That's okay. How you're feeling right now is pretty normal so you don't have to worry." She nodded her head reassuringly.
"Why am I here? And where's my family?" Tears were swelling in my eyes. I couldn't hold then back.
"Casey, you overdosed on some very harmful drugs while intoxicated. This is very serious, and we were surprise you even lived." She had a worried look in her eyes. Now the memories started flooding back. I knew that I had a problem with it, but I never thought that it was this serious.
"Casey?" I looked back up at the nurse. "Your parents are outside. We just wanted to wait until we knew you were awake until they could see you. I'm going to let them in now, okay?" She walked over to the door and walked a few steps outside.
My mom, my dad, and my two older brothers came into my room. They looked concerned. I had never seen them this upset and tired.
"Hey. . .how are you feeling?" My mom made a nice type of whisper. She was the perfect volume.
"Not really that well." I started to cough. I chest hurt and my throat was sore.
"Well Casey, today you will be getting released. We have already done all the tests while you were unconscious and they came back okay. Now you guys can take your time and just leave by 5. Thank you." And the nurse was out. Thank god I get to go home to my bedroom today. I miss my laptop and sitting on my bed procrasinating like crazy for school work.
After I was released, we went into the car and drove home. I looked out the window and saw how beautiful everything is. I love nature, I always had a thing for it. It was really sunny, well it always usually was, I mean I live in North Carolina. We got to our house. I saw the moving van next door, I can't even believe someone had bought that house. I mean the houses are right by the beach, but that house isn't really an ideal place to live.
I put on my sunglasses to help myself from being blinded from the light. I end up going inside by myself. my parents wanted to stay and introduce themselves to our new neighbors. I just wanted to go to my room and go on my laptop. I run upstairs. I notice my favorite bikini on my bed. I decided that I was going to go to the beach.
My suit was my favorite strapless suit. It was a coral top with from fringes and stuff with plain black bottoms. This was perfect for tanning and swimming. I loved this suit.
I walked down to the beach and got out my towel. I layed it down on the sand. Feeling the sand made me feel more at home. I started to tan. It was really nice to feel my skin really hot and then be able to just go into the nice cool water. I turned over to tan on my front. Then I noticed that the sun was gone. What happened?
I open my eyes to see a brown haired, bright blue eyed boy. He looked about my age, and he was pretty cute.
"Ugh . . . can I help you?" I asked him. he smiled.
"Yeah. Mind if I sit?" He asked. There was almost no one here at this beach, he just had to sit next to me. But whatever.
"Yeah, sure." I turned and watched him sit down in the sand. He looked even cuter now that I actually see him.
