~Nash's POV~
I drove Casey home. She fell asleep in the car so I just carried her up to her room. Her parents weren't home though, so I stayed there with her. I layed down next to her and held her around her waist. She looks so beautiful when she sleeps. I kissed her forehead, then her nose, and then I kissed her lightly on the lips. I saw her smile a little.
"Goodnight Nash." She whispered.
"Goodnight beautiful." I whispered back to her.
We layed there until morning. I slept through the night, but I still felt tired. When I got up Casey was gone. There was a note and I also saw that she texted me.
I read the note first and it read:
Don't worry Nash, I didn't run away or anything. I'm just running out to run some errands, I'll be back by 12. You can stay there if you want.
Love you, Casey
I was relieved she wasn't doing anything stupid. I picked up my phone and saw the text, she said that she was out doing things for Luke's funeral service. She said that she would meet me at the diner in a few minutes.
I got up and got ready. I found a shirt that I had left here from last summer. I put it on because it was clean. I found one of my pairs of shorts and brushed through my hair a little bit. I got my toothbrush that I used last time and brushed my teeth. I ran down the stairs with my phone in my hand and ran out the door. I grabbed my penny board from my front lawn and started skate boarding down the street.
I got to the diner right on time. I saw Casey waiting at the usual booth. She looked really sad, like the world had ended. I kissed Casey on the cheek and she didn't even react. She just sat there staring at the same spot. I snapped my fingers and said her name.
"Casey? You there?" I said.
"What. Oh um yeah." She said as a tear slipped from her eye and down her cheek. "Nevermind. I lied, I'm not okay." She fell into my shoulder and I put my arms around her.
"Why don't we go home and just have a nice movie day and talk about everything?" Nash asked.
"Yeah. Let's go." She whispered.
We walked back to her house and went upstairs to her room. She layed down on the bed and I cuddled up next to her. She was hysterical. I grabbed a box of tissues and put them by her. She put her head on my chest and her arms around my waist.
"Casey, he's in a better place." I whispered while rubbing her back. I didn't know what else to say, I can't say it will be okay because then she'll be even more annoyed. You never say 'I'm sorry' because what are you sorry for? Having to deal with other peoples sad emotions.
"Nash, he's dead. I COULD HAVE SAVED HIM! HE WAS MY BEST FRIEND NASH! HE WAS LIKE A BROTHER TO ME!" She wiped some of her tears and we sat up. I faced her and held her cheeks in my hands.
"Casey, you have to promise me that you'll stay strong, okay? I know this is hard, Luke wouldn't want you acting like this." I whispered. "Casey, he would never want to see you this upset, and neither do I."
"Can you just leave? Its not that I don't want you here. It's just that I want to be alone right now." She said, her voice scratchy from so much crying.
"Sure, I'll go. But if you need anything, and I mean ANYTHING call me okay." I kissed her on the forehead and then on the lips. "Stay beautiful babe. Love you!" I said while closing the door.
I walked down the steps and out the door and walked to my house next door. I went up to my room and just sat on the chair, waiting by my phone in case Casey calls. Of course, like I thought, she wouldn't.
~Casey's POV~
I layed there all alone in my room. It was nice because it was really quiet and relaxing. The light was off so my room was pitch black except for the light coming through the window. I got up and walked into the bathroom.
I decided maybe taking a shower would help me forget about Luke for a little while. I turned on the water and let it warm up. I hopped in, washing my hair and basically buring my skin off with how hott the water was.
I got out and wrapped a towel around my body. I grabbed a pair of big sweats and a longsleve shirt. I went back into the bathroom and combed my hair a little while towel drying it.
I looked throughout all the drawers, looking for the blow dryer. I just didn't feel like air drying it. Then I looked in the one drawer and saw a silver material. It was a razor. I took it out and looked at it. I threw it down and told myself not to cut. It was hard.
After I found the blow dryer, and I blow dried my hair, I walked back over to my bed. I plopped down on it, and screamed. I threw the pillow at the wall and started crying.
I grabbed my phone because I heard it beep. I look to see it was from Nash.
Casey, how are you?
-Nash
I decided to not reply And maybe he won't check to see if I read it.
I walk over towards the tv in my room and turn it on. I haven't been here in a few years, so I wasn't sure whether it would work or not.
I grabbed the remote and I felt a little dizzy. I decided to sat back down, but it only got worse. I walked over to the bedroom door and walked out. I walked slowly done the stairs, holding on to the railing. Then I felt myself hit something hard and my vision went black.
~Nash's POV~
Casey read my text, but she didn't respond. I thought maybe she just didn't really want to talk, but after a while, I started to get worried. I couldn't sit there. I just needed to make sure she was okay. I texted her that I was coming over and she still didn't respond. something's wrong.
I went through her back door, because it's always usually unlocked, and went towards the stairs. Then I saw her laying there on the floor. I think she was having a stroke. She wasn't moving or breathing.
I looked at her and tapped her cheek a little. Her eyes were bloodshot and staring blankly back at me.
"Casey, oh god, Casey." I said crying. I dialed 911 and held her in my arms.
They said they would be there in about ten minutes. I couldn't risk anything. I picked her up bridal style and ran out the door. I ran down the street and to the hospital. Thank go I played lacrosse and football in high school, so I was sort of in shape.
I ran towards the emergency entrance and put her down on one of the nearby stretchers.
"WE NEED A DOCTOR! HELP ITS URGENT! PLEASE!" I screamed.
I saw a few nurses running towards me looking really nervous. They took her into the room and told me to wait here. I stood there, wanting to be with Casey. Tears rolling down my face, as I slid my back down the wall and sat there on the floor.

It has been a few days now, I have stayed at the hospital almost everyone of those days. I wait there until they tell me I could visit her.
"Mr. Grier?" I heard a nurse say.
"Yes." I asked standing up. I really wanted to see her.
"Casey will be able to see you know, it's just that she's in really bad condition. She only has a very slim chance of living. So you should go see her and possibly tell her goodbye. I'm sorry." she walks over and turns around a little to hint that I should follow her.
I do. We walk further down the hall. Then she stops at a room and points into it and then walks away. I walk in. I see her laying there. Just barely able to breath.
"Casey?" I asked.
