~Nash's POV~

I wanted to kiss Casey so bad, but the wave had stopped me. We went back on the sand and I was tired. I wanted to lay down with Casey and soak up the warmth if the sun. It felt so nice.

"Hey there." Casey said. She was pretty close to my face. I grabbed her hand and held it. She made me feel better about everything.

"Hi." I said back. I smiled then she smiled as well. "You look absolutely perfect."

"Um, thank you? Don't worry, you don't look so bad yourself." She said and then she laughed.

She turned so her belly was facing up. She closed her eyes for a minute, but I just stared. I stared at how beautiful she was. And right then I realized how much I love her. Then I heard her voice. It was sort of quiet, but loud enough for me to hear it.

"I wish we could stay right here forever. Just me and you together and no one else." She turned her head to face me and she looked into my eyes. "This is perfect." I smiled at what she had said.

"Maybe we can." She sat up and looked at me like I had three heads. "I'm serious. We could be with each other forever. Of course we wouldn't stay on the beach forever. But if I had to spend forever with someone, I would spend my forever with you."

"You really don't want to spend forever with me. Nash I am a bad person. You really don't want to get involved with my life, it's messed up. And it will mess you up too, and I really don't want that to happen to you." She said. I looked in her eyes. They were full of fear and confusion.

"Don't worry. I don't care if I get hurt or in trouble. As long as I'm with you, I'll be okay." I said to her. She didn't smile back. Instead she turned her belly up and closed her eyes. She started tanning. I guess she doesn't like me back. I turned my belly up and faced the sun. It burned my eyes but it felt nice.

We tanned for about what felt like an hour and I turned my head to notice Casey still there. She was now laying on her stomach. Her hand was out in the open, so I grabbed it and held on to it. She noticed and woke up. She looked at me. Then she sat up.

"Hey." I heard her say. I could barely hear her voice.

"Hi. It's getting dark out, maybe we should head back home soon." I said.

She nodded her head and put on her clothes. I grabbed my t-shirt and I put it on. We put back all the stuff and started walking back. I held her hand in mine. Even though we weren't talking, it still wasn't that awkward. It felt nice just hearing the waves crash on the shore and hearing my own thoughts. We got to the back of our houses.

"Bye." She said. She hugged me tightly around my waist. Her grip was getting tighter and tighter that I thought she would never let go. But she did let go. I smiled.

She started to walk away and I couldn't speak. I tried to say something but my throat was dry. Finally at the last second I spoke.

"Bye Casey see ya tomorrow!" I said. I had realized that she most likely didn't even hear me. She was inside now and so I headed for the back door. Hopefully, I do get to see her tomorrow.

I ran straight up to my room and took a quick shower. Washing out all the sand and trying not to smell like the sea. I put on my boxers and I flopped down on the bed. I fell asleep.
