~Casey's POV~

It was cold and dark. I had put my board in my backpack so that if I needed to run away I could. I walked down the path and looked out behind all the trees. It's was pitch black out, but I could see the lights on the other side of the lake. I started to walk towards the bridge.

The bridge was big and really wide. People hide out in the tunnel under it all the time. I always go here with Brittany to drink and stuff without getting caught. I started to slow down and I peeked to see if anyone was there. I saw Brittany sitting there. She was all beaten up. She had a black eye, and the duck tape that covered her mouth also covered most of her face.

She was tied to a heavy metal chair. I didn't see Caleb anywhere in sight. I started to walk in towards her so that she would be able to see me. I felt a hand grab my wrist. The grip tighten as I tried to walk away. I turned around and screamed "LET GO OF ME!" It was Caleb. He looked at me with his piercing green eyes. His dark brown hair all spiky. I looked down, trying to avoid any eye contact.

"CASEY. Glad you can make it. Have you seen Brittany yet? she sitting right over there." he whispered in my ear. His breath smelt of alcohol. I knew I was in danger now. When he drinks, he goes insane. I looked at his free hand and he had a bottle of vodka covered in a paper bag. He drank it.

"Please. Just let me help her. She isn't the one you want! I AM!" I said. He looked at me and took another sip. At first I thought he was going to let me help her. Then I had felt him slap me more than a few times accross the face. My cheek was stinging.

"THERES MORE WHERE THAT CAME FROM IF YOU DONT LISTEN TO ME!" He yelled. I felt myself trembling in fear. This can't be happening.

"I'll go with you, just let me let her go. She doesn't deserve this." I whispered. Then I kissed his cheek. He smiled at me.

"You really mean it?" He said, his words slurring.

"Yes. Don't worry. This time no one will get in our way." I said calmly. He leaned in and kissed my lips. I tried to imagine his being Nash. Oh I'm going to miss him so much. He stopped after a few seconds and he let me go.

"Brittany. Brittany. Come on. Get up! Let's go!" I said to her once I was standing by her side. I ripped the tape off her mouth and untied her. She just sat there.

"BRITTANY! ARE YOU OKAY!?" I asked. She nodded her head yes. I had no idea why she wasn't running away, or at least trying to.

"I can't leave." She simply said to me.

"Why not?"

"Nothing! Nothing. I can't tell you anyway!"

"JUST TELL ME!"

"I WISH I COULD BUT ITS NOT THAT SIMPLE!"

"JUST TELL ME!"

"FINE! Because I'm helping Caleb!" My heart dropped. I felt broken, ashamed, but most of all betrayed.

"I TRUSTED YOU! I WAS COMING TO HELP YOU! I WAS WILLING TO RISK MY OWN LIFE TO HELP YOU OUT WHEN I KNEW THAT BOTHING WAS PROBABLY GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOU! WHY BRITTANY! JUST EXPLAIN WHY!" I felt bad yelling at her, but I had to let it out.

"Casey I'm sorry!" She tried to apologize, but I'm probably never going to forgive her.

"IM DONE. WHY DONT YOU JUST GO TO HELL! YOU'RE A BITCH! GET AWAY FROM ME!" I screamed and she listened. She ran out of there faster than I thought she was even able to run.

I tried to follow after her but Caleb had once again stopped me. He was now standing right in front of me. For some reason, I felt really unsteady. My head hurt like crazy and everything started going dark. I couldn't breathe. My mind was only focusing on one thing.

To get away.
