~Nash's POV~
I had called Casey 20 times. Each time it had went right to voicemail. I really hope she didn't leave her house, I need to go check up on her.
"Mom I'll be back soon, I have to meet up with Casey!" I yelled.
"Okay! Have fun! See you later!" She yelled while I shut the door behind me.
I ran out of there really fast. The lights in her house were off and I climbed up to her window. I looked in her window and she wasn't in there. I opened up the window, looked around, and didn't see her anywhere.
Where would she be? Where did she go? I need to go find her. And know I know where to go. I called the cops and told them to meet me there.
I started my car. I drove down the street towards the lake. I drove and parked in the alleyway. I turned off the engine and took a deep breath. This was it. I got out of the car and walked down towards under the bridge where I had once picked up Casey.
I peeked in and saw him beating her up. He looked a little tipsy, so maybe he was drunk. That could either be a positive or negative. She looked like she was trying to fight back, but she was already so injured that she couldn't get her strength. I walked in more and more and more until I was standing right behind Caleb. Casey was lying on the ground crying, with her eyes closed. He was about to punch her right out until she opened her eyes and saw me.
~Casey's POV~
Nash came! He was here! I wanted to go up and give him a bear hug and just wrap my arms around him, but I couldn't. Instead I stood up, I hugged Caleb. Then I kissed him lightly. I bit Caleb's lip instead which made him stop trying to kiss me. Then I stomped my heel into his foot and swung my knee straight up into his area. I heard him wince in pain.
"CASEY! RUN!" Nash screamed.
I couldn't move. I heard the police sirens. They were gtting closer and closer and I could now see the lights. They were on their way over here. Nash then grabbed my arm and pulled me towards his car. I couldn't speak. I was speechless. I was set down in the passenger's seat. I couldn't feel any part of my body. I was numb and in shock.
The only thing that I could pay attention to was the open window and the music that was playing. All of Me by John Legend was playing in the background. The window was rolled down and I put my head right next to it. The cold wind was blowing hard against my face. My head was cold, but I liked it.
"Casey? Are you okay?" Nash whispered.
My eyes were filled with tears from the wind. I just nodded my head up and down and hoped he didn't know that I was really pissed inside. I wanted to take out my anger on something or someone, but I held it in because I didn't want to hurt Nash. I closed my eyes. And put my head back against the seat. I soon fell asleep knowing I was safe with Nash.
~Nash's POV~
I looked over at Casey who was now asleep. She looked so cute when she was sleeping. Although right now she had bruises all over her and she was bleeding in some places. I needed to get her some medical help, but I'm not sure if she would want me to. I go to the house instead. I park in my driveway and carry her to her house. Her backdoor was luckily unlocked and I went inside. I started running up the stairs and I started to walk towards her room. It was opened. And before it was closed.
That was weird. I looked in and there wasn't anyone in sight. I put Casey under the covers and laid her down in the bed. I kissed her forehead and I walked in the bathroom to get a first aid kit. There was some alcohol to put on the cuts and I got some bandages. I cleaned her all up and let her sleep. I sat there next to her, then I laid down. I wrapped my arms around her. Holding her tight to me.
I heard the floors creak. I shot my head up and got off the bed. I stepped in front of Casey to try and protect her. I walked towards the door. It was Brittany! Oh she's gonna get it! She was a part of his little plan, and I know it! Everyone knows it!
"YOU LITTLE BITCH! How could you- you- I thought you were her friend!" I screamed at her. I didn't care if she got hurt, Casey is hurt more than she will ever be.
"Just let me speak! I - I know that I was wrong. I should have never agreed but he was threatening to do things to me and I wasn't sure what to do! It was either me AND her or just her! He didn't want anything to do with me!" She started crying.
"I couldn't believe that Casey actually came for me." She whispered so quietly, thinking I wouldn't hear. "Just tell her how sorry I am. For everything. The wild parties, the pressure I put on her to do drugs and drink, and for betraying her. I wish I could be a better friend, but I just don't know how."
"It's okay. Just go home. I want to let her sleep for a while, okay. And be careful, Caleb knows where we live and stuff so you might not want to walk alone." I said to her.
"Okay. Thanks. Can you tell her to call me ASAP. I really need her to hear what I have to say. Thanks. Ugh byee" She said awkwardly. She shut the door behind her on her way out.
I sat in the bed and rested my elbows on my knees. I put my face in my hands. I started taking deep breaths but I couldn't hold back the tears. I started crying. I looked at Casey. Her one eye was so swollent hat she couldn't even open it. Her lips were no longer a light pink, but a dark purplish blue.
Why do the worst things always happen to the best people? I put my hand on the bed. I felt someone grab my hand and I turned and saw it was Casey. She was still asleep. But she reached out and had taken my hand. I smiled. This is why I love her so much.
