A little sneak peak into part 2 coming soon.
Five Months Later
The dark streets of Los Angeles were illuminated by the lamp post all over the city and the small stores that were in every corner that you looked. The air was warm and a small breeze swept through the city. Perrie stood in a park in the middle of the city, but at night the park became so quite it didn't feel like it was in the city. Faint cars sounded in the distance and the moon shined bright in the dark sky.
Perrie stared at it from the small bench on where she sat alone. Her mind was filled with thought, but there was a peace to her she hadn't had in a while. She took every second to enjoy the silence that spread through the park and allowed her to collect herself. The night seemed to sing a lullaby to her that reminded Perrie that it was alright to be alone.
Perrie's brown hair had returned to it's natural blonde and was now almost half her back long. She wanted to be herself, that's what she had told the stylist when he asked her what she wanted to change. These last five months had been the hardest for Perrie.
The images of her that fateful night still danced in her memories and with them the pain of losing the man she loved. There was no question; she loved him. He was the one, the only man she truly loved. Yet, these months without seeing him had been her best. Hard, but her best.
"I have to let you go."
That had been the hardest, but most necessary thing that needed to happen in her life even if her heart still had hope that someday they would find way back to each other. Perrie knew that this wasn't a fairy tell story, but rather real life with real choices and people. She knew that above all she needed to be first. Perrie needed to love who she was and who she dreamed to be without anyone changing her goals for her. No, Perrie was done giving control of her life to those around her and making herself miserable. She knew what she wanted and who she wanted in her life.
A heavy sigh left her lips and she dreamed with the stars and the moon above her. Nothing else mattered in that moment but her peace and quite.
This was only the beginning of her journey to self discovery but one that she knew she wanted to do. For the first time in her life, Perrie was going to put her feelings first and dictate what she wanted for herself. No one was ever going to have that power over her again.
She believed in love, family, and a new beginning. But above all, she believed in herself.
