Perrie's eyes were fixed on the white sheet in front of her, her mind not finding the words to explain what she felt. The winds blew a cool breeze as the hot rays of the sun shined on the beach of Sevence. Perrie sighed and placed the sheet of paper on the side along with the pen and focused her attention on the vast ocean in front of her. The waves seemed to rush to the shore and the seagulls flew with grace on the sky.
Being back in Sevence and seeing all the people who had been there for Perrie the first time had brought Perrie a sense of peace she missed. In a way, she felt like she was home.
She had been back in town almost a week now and in that time her mind had seemed to clear in many of the situations she had left back home. It terrified her to know that one decision could alter the lives of so many and change the way her life was now, but that's how life works. We must alter with the situations and find growth in each experience. Perrie was beginning to understand that nothing is ever easy in life, but the hardest moments in life help us become stronger. No matter what others thought of her choice she knew that her happiness and wellbeing came first and no one was going to change that.
As time began to pass Perrie felt a presence approaching her. Looking to her left she saw Ciro walking towards her with a small white plastic bag.
"Hey, Perrie." He greeted her as he took a seat next to her. The sun began to set behind the ocean and the sky turned into a soft orange as the day became night.
"Hi." Perrie smiled at him. "What's in the bag?"
"I brought you a sandwich. You left really early this morning and I haven't since you since. I thought that maybe you were hungry."
Perrie giggled, "You're so kind."
Ciro opened the bag and handed the sandwich to Perrie along with a water bottle. Perrie took them in her hands and began to unwrap the wrappings around the sandwich.
She paused and looked at Ciro for a moment. "You know that I trust you more than anyone, ever. Right?" She asked him as she turned to face him.
Ciro's eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Of course and I feel the same way about you, Perrie."
With the clarity she now had there were many questions that were left unanswered simply because she didn't know what Ciro felt in this situation. The more she thought about it the more she realized that they never discussed the topic. After the events that occurred back in the states and the growth she had experienced she knew what her heart wanted. In a way, she always knew.
She loved both Ciro and Zayn. Was it possible to love two people at once? She wasn't sure, but her heart felt like it was stuck. Yet, at the root of it her heart always returned to one person.
"I have to tell you something and ask you a question." Her heart began to race as he mind rushed to form her thought for this conversation. In this moment everything was going to change, but it was time that Perrie was honest with herself and stopped caring about what others thought.
"Okay, tell me. You know you can tell me anything." Ciro sent her a reassuring smile and reached for her hands. He wrapped them over her small ones and intertwined his fingers through hers.
Perrie nodded and took a deep breathe. "I know I can but I'm just nervous."
His hands gripped her a little tighter as a way of reassurance. "Don't be."
"You have been at my side through one of the darkest periods in my life. You are literally the most important person to me because through it all you have always reminded me to be kind to myself and above all to be honest. I know you're right and I think this time I'm ready to do that. " She took a pause and let out a nervous breathe.
