*One week ago*

"I know that no words I say can make up for the damage I am about to cause, but I wanted you to know that you were the best thing to have ever happened to me. Perrie, I love you and I probably always will, but I can't do this anymore. I can't be with you anymore. I'm sorry."

Perrie read the message over and over, the words not sinking in. Everything in that moment seemed like a nightmare.

"Breathe.

Breathe.

This isn't happening.

Air. Focus on breathing.

In. Out. In. Out.

I can't breathe. There's no air. I can't breathe!"

She repeated the same phrases in her mind until her head began to spill.

"No, Zayn." She cried, falling to her knees. Her fingers instantly dialing his number and calling him, but the call went straight to voicemail. He had turned his phone off so he wouldn't have to speak to her.

"This can't be happening. I'm having a nightmare."

It didn't seem real to her. Just a couple days ago Zayn had been proclaiming his love for her and now he was ending their relationship.. Yet, now all she felt was a hole in her heart that seemed to be growing. She sobbed her heart out in hope of making the pain go away, but it wouldn't.

"No, he can't break my heart this way. He promised to never hurt me, and yet..."


"How can someone promise a future filled with nothing but love and then rip it from your hands? How could he just lie to me?"

Her entire world had shattered in the matter of seconds. Before the text, she had been making the final touches in her wedding book. Now, she wanted nothing more than to rip it into pieces. Everything was a lie in her eyes now. Perrie couldn't remember anything else afterwards but the pain that destroyed her. The pain Zayn Malik had caused her.
