Chapter 15.

I talked with Jake for over a half an hour. Until my phone rang. “One second.” I told Jake when I answered my phone. “Where are you?” Brad asked. “I’m with Jake. We are at the diner. Remember I told you.” I said. “I didn’t think it was today. I’m coming to get you.” Brad said. “No. I don’t want you to pick me up. We are having a good time and I don’t want you to come and run it.” I said. “What is that supposed to mean?” Brad asked. “You have been making sure I haven’t been doing anything for the passed week. I’m ok. And were just talking. So I will get hi to drive me home when I’m done.” I said. “No.” Brad said. “Yes.” I said. And I hung up the phone before he could answer. “Everything ok?” Jake asked. “Yeah. He can be mean sometimes.” I said. Tears were pushing their way down my eyes. I tried to fight them back but that didn’t seem to work very well. Jake stood up and sat down beside me. “I remember when you cried so much. It kills me to see you like this. Please stop crying everything will be ok.” Jake said. He put his arm around me and I out my face on his shoulder and hugged him while he put his arms around me. “Do you really mean that it killed you. That you hurt me and that every time I cried you were hurt inside?” I asked. “Yes. Even when you pushed me away that day. In the corner I felt hurt because you wouldn’t let me protect you.” Jake said. “You are so sweet.” I said. He kissed my forehead. “Relationships sometimes never work. But you found someone that wants to protect you. And he is your best friend.” Jake said. “Yeah. He doesn’t seem like he is my best friend right now.” I said. We sat quietly for a while until I asked. “Why did I get married so soon?” “Because he asked you. And you were shocked and probably had no idea what you were doing.” Jake said. “Your right. I didn’t know. And it seems like it was a mistake.” I said. “What do you mean by that?” Jake asked. “I need to go tell him that it was to soon.” I said. “No. I didn’t mean it like that.” Jake said. “But your right. I knew it was to soon. But I didn’t realize it until now.” I said. “What are you going to do?” Jake asked. “Can you drive me home? I need to stop this. I don’t want to be married and having kids until I’m in my twenties.” I said. “Ok.” Jake said. I got up and we got into Jakes car and he drove me home. A few minutes later I got out and went inside. “Brad can we talk?” I said. “Yeah.” he said. We walked out and I went to the bench y the lake because my leg was hurting. “I want a divorce.” I said. “Why?” Bad said. “Because it was to soon in the relationship to be married.” I said. “Fine let’s go. I did everything for you.” Brad said. “I know. But with you yelling at me. And then talking to Jake I figured I need a break.” I said. “What ever.” Brad said. “Don’t be like that. You are still my best friend.” I said. “Well. What happened. He pushed you into breaking up with me so he can have you back?” Brad asked. I stood up. “Don’t be like that.” I said. I walked towards Jake’s car and walked in Brad got into his and we drove to the divorce office. (I don’t know if it’s court or a certain office.) “What happened?” Jake asked. “We are getting a divorce.” I said. “I’m sorry.” Jake said. “Don’t be. It wasn’t your fault. I shouldn’t have done this.” I said. “It was a little mistake.” Jake said. “Exactly.” I said.

An hour later I was done in the divorce office. And was heading out. “Can you take me to a Hotel?” I asked Jake. “Why aren’t you going home?” Jake asked. “Because all my friends are there and I don’t want to tell them yet. And Brad is staying there.” I said. “You can stay in my spare bedroom.” Jake said. “Ok. Thanks.” I said. We pulled into Jake’s drive way a few minutes later. And I went in with him and he led me to the living room. “The kitchen is threw there.” Jake said pointing to two doors. “Ok. Where’s the room I’ll be staying in?” I asked. “Up this way.” Jake said. I followed him up the stairs and he opened a door I walked in the room. It was beautiful. “You can’t be serious. This room is beautiful.” I said. “Thanks. It was my older sisters but she is married now and has two little ones a little two year old named Charlotte and the also have a almost week your old named Scarlett.” Jake said. “That is so cool. What does it feel like being an uncle? And what is your sister’s name?” I asked. “My sisters name is Kylie and her husbands name is Kenny. And being an uncle is fun, you get to play with kids. Don’t you have an older brother?” Jake asked. “No. and I don’t have any nieces or nephews.” I said. “Maybe that’s why your so spoiled.” Jake said so quietly like it was a whisper but I still heard him. “What is that supposed to mean?” I said. Pushing Jake a little bit. “I’m kidding. Hey would you like to meet my nieces?” Jake asked. “Really? I could?” I asked. “Yeah. I was going to see if they wanted to come over. And you could stay for dinner.” Jake said. “I couldn’t do that.” I said. “I insist. It will be fun.” Jake said. “Ok. But I am going to help you cook.” I said. “Sounds good. I’ll go cal her.” Jake said. We walked down stairs and Jake called his sister. Once he got off the phone he said. “They will be here in an hour. So lets get cooking. What are we going to make?” “I don’t know. Spaghetti.” I said. “Sounds good. I’ll cook the noodles.” Jake said. “I’ll make the sauce.” I said. We headed into the kitchen and started cooking.
