I never understood why we had to have friends to play with, why people got themselves involved in friendship problems. We went to school to study, not to play.
As I grew older everyone started looking for their significant other. I never understood that either. Why would you want to restrict yourself to the interests of another person? Why don't you want to be free? To make your own choices?
We were all born alone, so why can't we be happy alone?
But sometimes, we need someone else. Someone we can depend on, someone to share our problems with. Because when we share our burdens, the weight is always lighter.
Who knows, maybe someday, that person would help us, provide us with things we never thought we would need. They may support us, or even understand us better than ourselves.
I finally understood, why we need someone else in our lives. Simply because, happiness is the only thing that multiplies when shared.
