[f/n] found out from a friend that there would be fireworks tonight by the sea, and she was excited to go see it with her beloved.

"Sorry, I have practice till 10 tonight, we won't be able to make it," Zen said with a frown.

"It's okay, I know your work is important. I understand."

It was 9pm, and the fireworks were at 9.30. Zen felt really bad that he couldn't go with [f/n] so she went with her friend instead.

At about 9.15 he was begging the director to let him off. Since Zen had worked hard in the last few practices and had stayed late to practise his script, the director reluctantly let him off.

Hopping onto his bike he raced to the seaside, his hair flowing in the soft wind. A little whisper told him he couldn't let her down, ever.

The fireworks were about to go off in one minute, and [f/n] had lost all hope that Zen would arrive. But at that moment she heard her name being called by a familiar voice.

Zen was right there, just in time to enjoy the special moment with [f/n]. He went over to give her a warm hug.

"I'm sorry I turned you down before, I will never do that ever again."

"Zen, I love you."

"I love you too"
