Jaehee watched as [f/n] did some paperwork for the bakery. She had taken over looking through the contracts and bills as she didn't want Jaehee to do all the work. It was 11pm and [f/n] had been working for three hours straight.
She was worried for [f/n]. Just a week ago she found some blood splattered on one of the contracts. It must have been caused by [f/n] as Jaehee had never seen that paper before.
When she last checked, [f/n] had no wounds on herself. Jaehee was really worried, she was afraid [f/n] had a fatal disease.
-
"It's okay, everything will be alright."
Those were the last few words she heard, before the voice faded from existence. As the final beep came from the monitor, it dragged on. That was the sound that Jaehee thought she would never have to ever hear, but now it rings in her head every now and then.
Those pretty eyes would never be seen ever again, and that candid laughter will only be a memory. The smell of breakfast every morning would only be from the meal she prepared herself, and the dinner table will only be for one.
But that was all in the past. Jaehee stroked the white carnations by the stone slab. Who would have thought that it wouldn't be another friend who stole [f/n] from her, it wouldn't be a guy. It wouldn't be a ambitions, it wouldn't be dreams. It was a disease which took [f/n] away from her.
